On 1 August 2022 ARS to diagnose an A/C problem, The technician found the problem which was a defective motor in a convection damper. He did not have the part in his truck. He gave me a price quote and I paid on the spot. The installed price was $770. The following day a different technician installed the defective part. I purhcased two HVAC systems through ARS in 2018. As part of the purchase, the sales person informed me I needed to complete the tune up/maintenance every 6 monhts, in order to keep the parts warranty on the account.They have scheduled an appointment twice, to complete the maintenance. At least we thought, it was fixed. On August 16th, the kitchen drain was clogged. So we called to report the issue. They installed our Heat Pump many years ago and at first they were fine. Then we started getting different "problems" from different technicians. The last person who came out came up with yet another problem. We had a different company come out and diagnose the problem - either the ARS person was incompetent (at best) or dishonest (at worst). I'm going to sound as calm as I can. Sunday 8/14/2022 we called for service, explaining in detail what we needed. Our hot water heater needed a pipe change. When the technician got there he advised us that *************** doesn't work on hot water heaters. My husband and I purchased a brand new **** unit and was installed on Dec. 31, 2020. On Thursday, July 28, 2022 our **** unit all of a sudden stopped working. This business scams their customers by not disclosing their fees for labor upfront and price gauging the customer upon arriving to the job site. For example, the technician told me that he needed to replace the capacitor and it will cost me $545.00 in addition to the service charges of$119.00 ... the technician never disclosed the hourly rate of labor.
