I reserved a 26' foot truck on March 22, 2022 for a one-way move occurring on May 5 (Over six weeks in advance). When making a reservation for a tow dolly I was told they only use the credit card to hold and I would be able to pay cash when picking up tow dolly. This was not the case. Had to take cash load it onto card then come back to pay. Once we got tow dolly hooked up we did light check and the left side lights did not work. I am disabled. I have a tracheotomy and require the use of a power wheelchair. I recently purchased a new car and needed a receiver hitch installed to carry my wheelchair. I made a reservation for a moving truck one month out from moving, and they called me the day before saying that they had nothing for me and that the closest location for an available one was a 1-hour drive away. After calling other companies last minute, I've had no luck and have nothing but a tiny family trailer to use. I now have to make multiple trips to my new home, which is a 40-min drive away from where I currently live.

The brakes on a U-Haul truck apparently failed and it rolled across the street, hitting our legally parked and unoccupied car as well as a car parked behind ours. The person who had rented the truck contacted U-Hauls insurance company, RepWest. The RepWest representative told us to get an estimate for repair of our car and send it to him, which we promptly did.
