We made reservations for moving truck at the beginning of May. 3 days before we were scheduled to get them we were informed that there are no truck available for our rental. We have rental numbers and everything and they will not let us rent the vehicles. They wernt goin to call and let us know about this until the day we were going to get them. Which is 2 days before we are suppose to move.

Ive had 3 bad experiences with uhaul over the last 2 years. The most recent is I reserved a truck more than a month in advance. They dont tell me till the day before till the day before where to pick up your truck and it was 30 extra miles away for my storage unit and it wasnt the size I ordered, OVER A MONTH IN ADVANCE. So not only did I have to drive etrxa miles, I also had to make multiple trips because the size I reversed wasnt available. When I asked for discount from the local Uhaul team, I was told no. I rented a U-Haul **Box to transport all of my belongings from ** to **. On the day it was supposed to arrive in ******* there was NO COMMUNICATION from U-Haul. I was on the phone for hours and transferred to several different lines and NO ONE could tell me where my stuff was. I was supposed to start a new job the next day and had no furniture. The day AFTER it was supposed to arrive I got a text message that said the **box is delayed (no kidding) and they didn't know where it was and they would reach out to the third party ... read more

Scheduled and confirmed a rental in *******, **. When I arrived for pickup, no one was there. Called UHauls customer service and the representative hung-up on me after I lost my temper. Called back and asked for a corporate manager. When I finally spoke to this manager at UHaul Corporate, I had to ask him to turn down his TV because I couldnt hear him (didnt mention the crying baby and barking dog). I made a reservation almost two weeks ago for a 15 truck from ****** to ******** for TOMORROW and I just received a call to tell me a truck is not available for me! Now what am I suppose to do!

The U-Haul customer service representative whom I talked with on the phone in *********, ******** provided me with incorrect rental information which convince me to go with U-Haul instead of choosing other less expensive alternatives that were available to me at the time I was finalizing my decision to go with U-Haul.3. On 4/25/2022 I visited the location in greenwood, ** on bypass 72. I had reserved a truck online so I can move everything from the unit. So we pick up the truck realized I was charged for a dolly and pads I never requested. I told it would be removed when I come back. I said ok. When we get to the unit it was locked out with your locks on it. I went back to the front counter and gave them the info on the unit they couldnt find it. There was another name on our unit ****. I rented a U-Haul with an auto transport in ********, **. Driving across country, I was told that the truck was the best one they had. As I drove and got to ******* to refuel, I noticed that one of the straps that holds the vehicle down by the tire cam loose and completely off..... and I paid for labor for the guys at U-Haul to secure it. This is the worst company customer service I have ever endured. I reserved weeks in advance that I needed a truck to be at a specific location. I understand their policy but call me the day before I'm scheduled to get my rental to tell me that I have to go 18 miles away to pick up the vehicle? Seriously?? Why not call me a week before so I can reschedule my day, or cancel the reservation.
