If I could give no stars I would. I paid 8k for uboxes to get delivered to another state. First to ******** then to ****. I was told they would deliver the boxes to my house when I agreed to the uboxes. I am now being told they don't deliver to my address, yet they knew the address before shipping it. Every place is independent and if one place says you'll get something, the next place may say not. Absolutely abhorrent company!

Uhaul didn't provide the truck that I reserved. 2 weeks before my move, I reserved a 26' truck. They didn't have it on the day I was to pick it up. I got sent to two other uHaul locations and ended up with a 15' truck (half the size I needed and reserved). Additionally, I had to rent as a local move, returning the truck to the original location which doubled the mileage and time, compared to the 1-way that I reserved. This was a horrible experience.

**** in ****** ** scammed my wife by letting her leave his Uhaul shop on an empty tank and never updating her paperwork from 1/4 tank to E after he told her he would. We are now being scammed on 1/4 tank of gas.

i would rate this a zero if it was possible. Very shady business practice. The original quote looks fine, but be aware of the additional overcharges they'll tack onto your credit card after you leave! When we arrived to pick up the van I thought it was odd the guy told us to 'take a picture of the gas gauge before we leave in case someone had siphoned any gas out the night before'! He also told us to ignore the 'tire low' light as it was an issue with one of the sensors. So we get in the van and there's barely enough gas in ... read more

I reserved a cargo van online, opted out of the insurance because it's $25/day which is a total scam. When I got there to pick up the van, I was told the insurance was mandatory "per the manager" and no way to opt out. But if I wanted to go up to the 10 ft truck then I could opt out. I didn't need a 10 ft truck so had to pony up an extra $50 (because it was a 2 day rental). Naturally, the manager who implemented this policy is not there to talk to. If I could give them a negative score, I would. Save yourself the trouble and do not use U-Haul! I used their pod to move from ********** to **. Online they charge less than (about $1k) what they actually charged. The customer service *****, it seems that they employ a lot of temporary or young workers who have no idea what's going on. We rented a truck for a 44 mile round trip day move. We received A truck with 1/4 tank of gas. We returned the truck with the agreed 1/4 tank of gas . When we received our bill, it included a $30 returned empty and $40 refill charge . ********, robbed of $70 upcharge . When called to dispute , they said that nothing could be done unless we had pictures . TOTAL SCAM. Not a trust worthy company and if Corporate allows this to continue , there reputation for and honest organization will be void.
