My car broke down in front of the Uhaul dealership on *********** in **********. The manager ******* went out of his way to help move it till it was eventually towed off the lot. ***** as the tow truck driver was not able to take my friend and I back to ******. Turned out he and his partner were going to ********* so we got a ride to a friend's house and then made it back to Woodstock and then back to ******. Rented a truck online to pick up at an official UHaul location. The day before, I get a call from UHaul traffic division stating I had to pick it up at a different location. I pay $20 for a Lyft to get there and find out it is not an official UHaul but some middle-of-nowhere affiliate location that was closed and no one on site to assist. Its late November and freezing outside. The lock box was rusted and wouldnt open. The truck rental size was available online. Only to find out the day I was picking it up that there was a mistake, and I had to downgrade the size. I was promised a credit that was never received on top of this. I paid the tolls via my iPass account. I called to let them know I paid the tolls. However, they proceeded to bill my credit card a week later for the tolls. I received proof from the secretary of state that the tolls were paid, but I could not submit a complaint or refund from Uhaul.

I went to their website and chose a two and from destination as well as the date I wanted to use their services. I called the location the next day and asked for a trailer opposed to the truck that I had ordered initially. when I spoke to the man who work there at the location he asked where I was picking up from and before I can even tell him anything he specifically told me where I was dropping off the truck according to the information I put in the system. U-Haul has a $50 guarantee and will do anything to prevent you from getting it. I booked a U-Haul for the next morning with the guarantee and showed up at this location at its closed hours. The app was working fine until I had to upload pictures to the app. They would not take any of my photos. I had no issues contacting customer service via the app and there are no options to submit photos via customer support. Excellent experience at A&H Rentals; ***** was wonderful. A family member moved to ******** from out of state, and UHaul changed our drop off location to another location, but they never notified us (we were also supposed to get a notification from the out of state pick up location and never received that notification either). Went to pick up the truck I rented. When I got the verification process it took multiple hours to figure out. When I called customer service multiple times to try and get this resolved everything they tried failed. So after a couple I finally got the answer that their self verification system was not working on their end and there's nothing they can do. I already missed my appointment to pick up load with the truck so I had to cancel. The rude employee told me I had to do this on my own and I was on the hook for any fees. Af... read more

I rented a pick up truck for 40 minutes. I used 5 miles total. At the desk on my contract receipt it states $10 for the insurance coverage. On the receipt that I received via email for my final charges it states $20. The gas total is also incorrect on my final receipt. I ended up paying $86 for 5 miles. **** me how that is fair or a valid transaction. I was charged without a run down, even after I requested one. The sales person only said, dont worry you will receive it once I go look at the mileage. This is such a scam!!! I... read more

I can not express enough my disappointment in the uhaul customer service. Had a truck on reservation for a one way move for a month when to pick up my truck I did not have the proper size available called customer service they were extremely rude uncaring and unhelpful. They substituted us for a giant truck and gave us no substitution in price to equivalent for the gas mileage that this bigger truck is going to take and we're unhelpful in giving resources or assistance.
