The room was in unsanitary and filthy conditions. The Operations Manager was rude, aggressive, disrespectful, and insensitive to my complaints. This is a copy of the email to the General Manager with no response to my email or calls for an entire week until the Operations Manager called me and just began speaking to me in a condescending, aggressive manner, speaking over me and not allowing me to provide details. I was staying at another hotel in Round Rock for about 2 or 3 days, but I couldn't sleep, so I checked out of that hotel early and made a reservation at the Marriott Courtyard at Hoppe Trail, just off of I-35. I went to my room and lied down for a little while, but I still couldn't fall asleep, so I went to a local Care Now facility, where they immediately tested me for COVID and I tested positive, so they sent me to the hospital, where I got treatment and an IV. The company charged me $150 for a missing coffee maker. I don't drink coffee. I have been a loyal member for more than 30 years and have never even taken a towel. They refuse to remove the charge, even after multiple attempts.

I've been a sliver or gold member for over 15 years, so I've come to expect a certain level of professionalism and customer service from Marriott. The accomodations themselves were acceptable, this review is more about the customer services and lack of prfessionalism by staff behind the scenes. We booked under a government rate, which did not specify one needed to be on official business, which it sometimes requires. After six nights at Wailea beach resort it was enough to make me not want to come back to Maui at all it was a horrible experience. Staff was not polite, mostly because they are short staffed and stressed out. Marriott and Hawaii has set these hotels up for failure post Covid. I can see it on staff’s faces. Stayed periodically at Courtyard Marriott Rockville from December 2020 to June 2021. On June 14, 2021 there was two unauthorized charges on my Bank credit bank card, value of $250.00. When questioned management, it was brought to my attention that I was no longer allowed to stay at Marriott hotels because I allowed "squatters" to stay in my room while I was away. Stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Watervliet, Michigan for a baseball tournament Memorial Day weekend for one evening. Made the reservation via phone after checking the hotel specifics at hotels.com, marriott.com, expedia.com and the hotel's direct web site. All sites indicate there is an adjacent water park (that is closed due to COVID) but then also advertises a pool and hot breakfast. I recently booked a reservation there for 5 nights starting 6-3-21 until 6-8-21 and upon my arrival I was told that I am on the DO NOT RENT LIST. I’ve frequented this hotel on numerous occasions & never had an issue with anything or anyone, I asked the young lady why she couldn’t rent to me & she replied that she didn’t know.
