We checked in at the Fairfield Suited by Mariott Keys collection in Key West and the hotel had bed bugs! We are suffering terrible pain, we look diseased and the hotel claimed they are mosquito bites yet these are not mosquito bites they are confirmed bed bug bites we are on steroid topicals and oral antihistamines to calm the fire-like itch, rash and scars are horrifying to see. Did a reservation online through Booking.com about a month before check in date at the Courtyard Santa Fe NM. Paid online several days prior to check in and on the day of check in 2 of the three rooms were cancelled by the hotel for overbooking. They would honor only one of the rooms even though the reservation showed 3 rooms on the same reservation. They did the same to 5 other guests as well while we were in the lobby. My complaint is as follows We deeded back a timeshare property in 2014 to the Marriott, (did not use the timeshare from 2014 till present.) The paperwork said as of February 10 2014 we(transferors) were indebt under the mortgage in the sum of not listing this) . It said that transferee Saint Kitts and Nevis vacation Plan & time share accepts this transfer in lieu of any proceedings that may be taken by it to enforce the aforesaid mortgage. Redeeming points and awards is a cumbersome experience that Marriott clearly resents and wants to discourage. After being a customer of Marriott for more than 20 years, using their Bonvoy Credit Card to earn points, and generally having many pleasant stays at their hotels, I have recently started to redeem some of my points and award night certificates. After paying 318 dollars, My boyfriend, my 1 year old niece and I were staying at this hotel. My niece was sleeping and my boyfriend and I were just hanging out. I stayed there for a convention. At checking out the front desk was verifying charges to the room. The thing is I didn’t charge anything to my room. When I told the lady that she said she would take that off. A day later they charged my account. I called and the lady told me they would call me back in a few hours. Two days go by and no call. Marriott sales force lied to us once again by representing thousands of beautiful properties that would be reachable to us if we traded our time share into bonvoy points. We did and once again when we went to book our vacation nothing was available! and if it was it was twice the points!!! They should be held accountable but never are. In the mean time they have another year of money from us and we have no nice vacation when and where we would like to go! they shouldn't even get one star.
