Showed up out of nowhere. Was served immediately at the bar. Alot of people complaining about either "not enough ghosts" or "not enough luxery hospitality" this poor hotel is caught in a vortex of people who want "the historical Stanley" or "the overlook". Unsurprisingly, one or the other will obviously be dissapointed. Also... OBVIOUSLY the rooms from "the shining" are booked for weeks and sometimes months. If your expectations aren't incredibly unrealistic: you will have an incredible time here!

Beautiful hotel...I really enjoyed the ghost tour!!!!
I've always wanted to stay at the Stanley and now I never will again. The front desk clerk was very rude, our magnetic keys stopped working, we asked for a crib and received one WITHOUT a mattress, our room was still dirty - hair that wasn't ours was all over the bathroom floor, tv wouldn't work, and bed frame was falling apart. Service in the restaurant wasn't good either. For the money we spent - we shouldn't have these problems. The view was beautiful. That's about all that I enjoyed.

This is the second time I've been to this beautiful hotel and I was able to go on the ghost tour...our guide, Lady "j" was great. She kept us involved. Highly recommend the tours but book early, they fill up quickly. If they are all sold out on the internet, go in person. They may add more tours.
We were only there for the night ghost tour. Was definitely disappointed. Didn't even get to go in the main building �. It has the ability to be so much better but at this time you shouldn't waste your money.
