Beautiful. Historic. And less then 2 hours out of Denver. Appreciate this place for what it is, nor what you think it should be.

My home away from home in Estes Park. Great staff, great service, interesting on so many levels. Everyone should go at least once (but if you go once, I bet you'll go back).

Views were beautiful but not worth the money. We expected to stay in the actual building of the Stanley, but payed over $400 to stay in a building that was not even a part of the main hotel! It was brand new and very nice, but ridiculous for the price we paid. We took the historical your of the hotel and our guide Ben, was informative, super knowledgeable, and entertaining! Since we aren't actually staying there, we had access to parts of the hotel that most visitors would not have. So very happy we took. Would also love to take the Haunted tour too. Plus the lsndscape is beyond words! I would do it again and again!

The Stanley is located in a beautiful place with beautiful weather and is a beautiful hotel. They can practically do no wrong. We've had some minor irritations on our visits but nothing to spoil our stay. I always highly recommend

My wife and I took the shuttle from Marys Lake Lodge (where we own a condo) down to the Stanley to have dinner and a drink at the bar. The bar service was terrible they only had one menu for the bourbon menu (which I never got to see it until a half hour after we were there) the bartender was more interested in the two young girls sitting next to us, The food was just as bad as the service. My wife had the kale salad which was terrible I had the game hen gnocchi and when I order it the bartender had no idea what I was orderi... read more
