i would ❤ to visit such a majestic hotel!! Does anybody even understand what a true HOTEL ought to be like??? I so wish I was born s century earlier and got to experience such grandeur.
This Hotel is massive and holds the truth to its Aura of horror like it did in Stephen King's 'The Shining'. I recommend all to visit.
I am absolutely upset that you got rid of the ghost investigations. That's the only reason I came up there. You guys are going to lose a lot of business
I haven't had the opportunity to stay yet, but I have love coming to see it since I was a child, though I don't honestly care much about ghosts or any other paranormal aspect. The hotel itself is quite lovely! I was quite disappointed to see the large space on the front lawn become congested with that silly maze to appease fans of the book. I have nothing against the book or the fans, it was just a let down to see somewhere I had wanted to get married from first glance as an 8 year old so many years ago be ruined by that eye... read more
Luckily we got a Living Social deal so it made the room more affordable. I would not pay full price to stay here. The rooms are tiny, need updating and the room was extremely hot (with the windows and the ceiling fan going). Not to mention you had to pay for the continental breakfast. I hated the constant calls I kept getting trying to add on a 5 course dinner before our stay. The only highlight were the bartenders in Cascades.
Terrific staff. Great food. Comfortable room. We will return
Don't get brunch. I paid 13 bucks for a bagel and lox. They cut the bagel in quarters and stuck in a bit of cream cheese on a plate. It was topped with 4 tiny pieces of salmon and tiny onion slivers. I guess the ghosts need to be fed as well. The mimosalinni was just a crappy mimosa with peach schnapps in it. The staff was really attentive but failed to ring in kids pancakes right... overall great service, lacking food. Want another review? Well call me cause I don't get paid for this shit and my finger is tired of swiping. ... read more
I came to do the hotel your with my 15& 10 year old daughters last Friday. I have been in the tour once before with my 15 yr old and had a good time. This one was MUCH BETTER! Our guide DD, was amazing and so much fun! She was filled with lots of good stories, information and was super excited to do her job. She was great with the kids and even let my youngest daughter help out and play parts throughout the tour. She spoke loud and clear and was a wonderful representative for your hotel/tour! Please make sure and tell DD she... read more
