I bought a 50 gallon Rheem hot water heater on *********. I hauled it myself and had a local person install it. 22 months later it began leaking. The unit had a 6 year warranty on the tank and parts and one year labor warranty. I called the Rheem warranty department. They assigned me a case number and said I would have to remove it an take it back to Home Depot for a replacement unit. Ordered a washer and dryer, had to wait weeks for a delivery. Thats fine, supply chain is why it is. Delivery day comes, theyve sent multiple emails/texts to be home from 3-7pm. I leave work early, pick up the kids early, am home and waiting. They never show up. Or call. I try to call, it wont connect me to an actual person. I sit through their text service for hours, they tell me I have to wait another week for delivery. I take off work once again, pick kids up early once again, am home from 3-7. Never use Home Depot for a big project! I came into a design meeting for kitchen cabinets and vanities in September 2021 and told them I wanted to redo the floors and cabinets in my new home by December. I was given measurements only after the people arrived late on the scheduled dates for flooring and kitchen. Next, it took weeks to get an installer they subcontract to come out for final measurements after I picked a design. This complaint is leveraged against the shipping vendor Roadway Express that has rendered particularly horrible customer ********************** during the delivery process. The delivery company notified us on the day of delivery that we should have someone available to sign for a package when the curbside delivery is completed. I am writing this review as I am solely disappointed with Homedepot , I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator and added a three year extended warranty to protect my purchase well my refrigerator stopped working so I contacted Home Depot / whirlpool to set up service for refrigerator this was about three months ago, I have had two service technicians come to try and service fridge first one said I needed to either fix or get a replacement, I was told parts were being ordered and here I am almost three months after still waiting ... read more

I have ordered 2 major appliances for delivery and installation from Home Depot and wanted to share my experience with each. The first one was a front load washer in 2019. My wife was home when it was delivered and she said the delivery seemed rushed. I noticed on inspection of the washer that there was a large scratch on the door. Luckily I noticed this within the 48 hour window and Home Depot sent someone out to replace the door. Within a couple of months the washer was leaking from the detergent tray. I regret spending my money at Home Depot. I bought new cabinets and countertops on 7/7/21 $11,114.12. The installer was weeks behind with installations and my cabinets just got installed 2 weeks ago. I paid to have my microwave and stove installed because they were relocated in the design. My stove was installed but per the contractor my microwave installation was not in the contract so he left. Home Depot uses XPO Logistics in ***** for del/install of appliances.Terrible service, particularly since as a Home depot customer , ********************** is downgraded .Appears that XPO sends their worst techs even for high end appliances from Home depot.Surprised that Home Depot tolerates XPO Logistics.Still waiting for ** washer/dryer install after weeks of incompetent techs and supervisors who do not call back.

I had placed an order for a tool set ,but then got an email stating that the order was backordered. I called and spoke with a representative and she could not tell me how long it would be backordered but that there were ************** ******, ***** over 200 miles away from where I live.
