The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Wait definitely sucks but the food is 100% worth it!! Once you are seated they do bring your food out super quick!
The service was great and the food even better. Can't wait to go back the next time we are in San Antonio
We decided to sit on the patio since it is covered and ceiling fans added to a soft breeze. My pancakes were light and fluffy and the applewood bacon was crispy and flavorful. The wait staff were excellent. We went through the house on the self-guided tour after our meal, then we went a couple blocks to the Steves home for a guided tour. I love history so I would love to come back the next time we come to San Antonio.
Awful! Food cold.. service slow.. wait ridiculous 1 1/2 hours and sitting in the sweltering heat! Live here and have tried it 3 times and have been disappointed each time! Also pricy for breakfast!
Wonderful service and food. What an awesome experience!
Went there for breakfast and it was delicious! The best waffle I have ever had!
More than an hour wait. Only seating available was outside. Misters were not working. Our server was short with some of us. Our food was just ok. It was not the best experience that one would want for a birthday.
Always love it. Great service and food. Beautiful weather.
It was recommended by a friend to try it. We had a great experience! We were seated within 5 min outside and although it was about 100 degrees it was cool under the tent with a nice breeze. Our waiter was EXCELLENT! He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing and very filling. The atmosphere was beautiful. We would recommend place to everyone!
