From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Great food Good service My wife and I have made this one of our favorite stops when we are in San Antonio We are from Sugarland Texas
Over an hour wait. Food wasnt good at all.. had the chicken and waffles.. never again.
The best biscuits and gravy I've ever had in my life! Service was great and prices were very reasonable.
So lovely!! Ate outside in the veranda area. Lots of fans so kept cool. Food was delicious!!
Something has changed...not sure if we will be back soon. The wait staff was awesome...atmosphere was good. The food wasn't the same, attention to detail and flavor is gone...or maybe we went on a bad day?...

This place is GREAT! First time here and my sisters and I loved it! Yes the biscuits are awesome and what I ordered was perfection. Will be back again!
Food was delish. Service was excellent and everyone was nice and accommodating. Couldn't ask for nicer people. It was clean and did I say delish. Prices were just right.
If you e never been then you need to go. Best biscuits in Texas, best cinnamon roll in Texas, great service, very friendly staff. Overall excellent breakfast!!!!
