The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Okay it's October, not the busiest time of the year. We were seated right away, our server was great, and our breakfast was great and so reasonably priced. Will come back when we come through San Antonio again. So glad our daughter recommended The Guenther House.
I food was great . The only complaint was the wait we waited 2 hours because of all the large parties they need to come up with a better idea to suit the larger parties.....
As usual, the food and service was top notch at the Guenther House. We had a beautiful day to eat outside and enjoy the best of San Antonio. It was a great birthday celebration for my sister-in-law.
I lived in San Antonio almost 10 yrs nd went to The Gunther House for the first time this weekend during my visit. Omg! Its beautiful, the food is impeccable, just as the service was. Can't wait to come back nd go again
I had the strawberry Belgian waffle with bacon & potatoes. Everything was I remembered, excellent! This was my birthday celebration & I couldn’t have picked a better spot on that beautiful cool fall morning. We sat outside &the place filled up quickly after we arrived - but would definitely be worth your wait in line for a table! I can’t wait to return. Absolutely delicious!
Amazing buisquits, pancakes, breakfast tacos and coffee. Quaint old Texas atmosphere. Overall great breakfast.
This is a great place to eat. Food is wonderful and the staff very friendly and efficient. Priced right.
Exceptional service, outstanding coffee and superb food. Definitely worth a visit to this historic San Antonio icon.

Chicken/waffles/ so so good! Even though an hour wait, it was worth it. They need to control the pesky flies somehow!
