Worst service department ever, epic fail! Incompetence! Unfortunately we have been using them for several years and keep getting sucked into their horrible service department. The only way to describe it is the snow ball effect. You go in for something and every time it comes out with the problem not rectified and with numerous new problems. Don't believe these positive fake reviews! I don't believe that all of the positive reviews are real, you can tell they are written by herzog meier themselves. In short, this company has repeatetly lied to us when it came to repairs on our VW and showed repeatetly incompetence when it came to get the job done. The service departement is horrible. Herzog-Meier Volkswagen service dept. stinks. Although I haven't been to the service dept. in several years, I do not have pleasant memories. As a woman, I felt completely demeaned each time I walked in, and they were constantly trying to get me to agree to extra services on my car that I absolutely did not need. NO THANKS!
A+ Buying Experience My wife and would definitely give our experience at Herzog-Meier an A+. Dare I say it, we thoroughly enjoyed our car buying experience. We'll be referring our friends and family to this dealership for their next car purchase.
Exceptional Service & Waiting Area I am always happy to take a break from my life in the waiting room at Herzog-Meier while they fix up my car. The service is exceptional and the area is welcoming and comfortable. Also they have the best oranges on the snack table in the waiting room. I love that they stock something that has very little carbs for those of us with odd dietary needs.
Do NOT buy a car from Bernardsville VW! This place is a nightmare! NEVER buy a "certified pre-owned car" from them! They pay for the certification papers and never run the certification tests! I've only had my car for a year and a half and it's spent more that 6 months total in the shop! My catalytic convertor broke a week after I bought the car, it took them over 2 months to "fix" it, and now it's broken again. Service I think that Bernardsville Volkswagen has a very good service shop. I have never bought a car from Bernardsville Volkswagen, but my car has spent a lot of time in the shop. Volkswagens are notorious for either having chronic electrical problems, or never having any problems. Mine is the chronic type, and I went to many body shops before Bernardsville. Great to purcahse, bad for service The service at this place is hooooorible. I used to have a Beetle, that had to be serviced at this location. Everytime I went it was a hassle, and an extreamly lengthy one. i actually avoided purchasing a new volswagen just to avoid having service done by southern states.
Great People Southern States has some awesome people there. All of there Techs are seasoned and definitely know what they are doing. Sam the service manager is a nice guy and helped me with two recalls I had on my 07 Jetta. The car is great and is by far the most fun to drive car I have ever owned!.. When I bought they were patient with me as I tried to figure out actually how to go about buying a new car. I was impressed by the knowledge I was given.
