Watch the Service Each time I've had my Volkswagen serviced here I've come away disappointed. In one case because they couldn't fix it, and in two cases because they charged me much more than expected. When coupled with their horribly inconvenient hours, and having to wade through a horde of desperate salesguys I'm really disinclined to come back. Heck, I'll drive all across town just to avoid this place. PROS: Close to home CONS: Pay more than expected, Salesguys are pushy
Quality Customer Service! I feel that Engell Pellumbi went beyond expectations to me when I had my 2006 Passat in for the 40,000 mile checkup. I appreciated being treated like a valued customer.!!! The service was excellent.!!!! I also appreciated the shuttle provided by your company returning me to my home and upon completion of the work picking me up at my home and taking me back to Herzon-Meier to pick up my vehicle. It is certainly a great feeling to know that Herzog-Meier still believes in Quality Customer Service!!!
Worst service department ever, epic fail! Incompetence! Unfortunately we have been using them for several years and keep getting sucked into their horrible service department. The only way to describe it is the snow ball effect. You go in for something and every time it comes out with the problem not rectified and with numerous new problems. So what does a rational person do? Well you back because you paid them $1000 to fix a problem which they conveniently didn't fix. Two weeks ago we actually left HM with a check engine li... read more
Herzog-Meier = Dishonesty & FRAUD Iâve had the worst sales and service experience with Herzog-Meier than Iâve had ever in my life before. Not only they sold me a lemon âa bad lemon- that was way overpriced, they messed up the loan application, messed up my social security information and messed up anything that they possibly could. Then when the car started showing problems, they didnât stand behind their promises, they charged me ridiculous amounts of money for repairs that I could only do at Herzog-Meier (lock on t... read more
A+ Buying Experience My wife and would definitely give our experience at Herzog-Meier an A+. Dare I say it, we thoroughly enjoyed our car buying experience. We'll be referring our friends and family to this dealership for their next car purchase.
Do NOT buy a car from Bernardsville VW! This place is a nightmare! NEVER buy a "certified pre-owned car" from them! They pay for the certification papers and never run the certification tests! I've only had my car for a year and a half and it's spent more that 6 months total in the shop! My catalytic convertor broke a week after I bought the car, it took them over 2 months to "fix" it, and now it's broken again. I can't even count all the things that have broken on my car in the past year and a half! Thanks a lot Bernardsvil... read more
Service I think that Bernardsville Volkswagen has a very good service shop. I have never bought a car from Bernardsville Volkswagen, but my car has spent a lot of time in the shop. Volkswagens are notorious for either having chronic electrical problems, or never having any problems. Mine is the chronic type, and I went to many body shops before Bernardsville. Bernardsville keeps my car on the road. Literally. It is slightly expensive, which is what happens when you take your car to the dealer for repairs, but it is well wort... read more
Worst service experience EVER... wish I could give them zero stars Like many others have said, we have felt obligated to use SSVW for service many times because it is the only convenient dealer nearby. That said, we have NEVER had a positive experience in the service department there. We always leave feeling as though we've been ripped off. We've often been misinformed. We've often experienced poor customer service and poorly estimated time frames, etc. Last year, my husband spent $600 on a new "oxygen sensor" after his car ... read more
stuck in durham My wife and I were on an east coast trip in May of 2012 when I left my lights on over night killed the battery and had to get the security code reboot to start the car. This happened on a Saturday afternoon as we were getting ready to leave for an hour and a half ride to our next visit. Bill Rate and Andrew Biesemeir, service advisors, got us in and out in about an hour. Friendly and prompt service. Thanks again from a Wisconsin TDI owner.
