Second year in a row that the Sheraton Atlanta had messed up the pricing on my reservation. In 2016 I was charged the wrong amount to my cc. I spoke to them over a dozen times... and it still never got resolved. Though, at some point I gave up because it wasn't worth my time. Math is hard. I love Sheraton hotels and stay at them whenever possible. I have a reservation with the Sheraton ATL hotel this September for an event (Dragon Con). The hotel requires the full stay and balance to be paid up front with no refunds. I have always just paid and been grateful for the great location and staff at the Sheraton. I was at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel from the 2nd to the 5th of this month for the Days of the Dead. I kept talking about how this hotel was great last year, but this year have been really poor in the service and prices. The hotel price went up 10 dollars more than last year and wanted 27 dollars for parking which was outrageous. Then the restaurant went up from 13 dollars to 21 dollars. Prepaid for 5 nights, over a year in advance, and credit card has been charged. Now they are threatening to cancel if we don't give them $20 more per night by 2/23. DON't stay at this hotel if you expect to be treated ethically; who knows what else they will try.
The price gouge for the DragonCon rooms is bull shit and you know it. The Sheraton was becoming one of the best places to stay for the con, and now the ATL Sheraton has single handily ruined that by being con artists. You are to honor the price, PAID UP FRONT, by your patrons. This is disgusting customer service. You're treating the patrons of the biggest event that downtown ATL can muster, like cash cows instead of loyal customers. Being extorted to pay an extra $20 a night because of a "software glitch" is immoral and probably illegal. I will not be staying here.
This will be my 3rd and final year staying here for DragonCon after this scam they are pulling on us. Before now i have always enjoyed this hotel, but telling people *five months* after they've already paid in full that rates for Dragon*Con were calculated incorrectly and then telling them to pay the difference or have their reservations canceled is wrong.

Over rated.. Totally not worth the money that you have to pay per night.. I have stayed at express hotels that were better than this.. would not recommend..
