Shampoo Ave B has become my go to in NYC since I moved here 2 years ago. Before I found my stylist, Raquel, I had been to 4 other salons trying to find a reasonable but professional stylist to do my highlights. Not only are they expanding and moving to a new studio due to their increase volume of business (I assume) but they carry good products and take their time with each client. Highly reccomended.

Shampoo Avenue B is definitely one of my favorite salons in NYC. I don't have a permanent stylist but every time I go I'm pleasantly surprised by the cut and color they were able to produce. It's also very reasonably priced comparing to most of the Japanese salons I used to go to. Highly recommended!

I travel from the upper east side (about an hour) just to get my hair cut and blown out here. I got an online deal (can't remember which one) 2 years ago and have been coming back ever since. It's really cute, clean and everyone is pretty nice. You check in, wait time is always minimal and you are offered a beverage. The stylists actually listen to your concerns and do not force you to do anything you are uncomfortable with. Alternately, they will definitely give you advice if you'd like some ideas. I have very very long hai... read more

I was recommended to try this place from a friend after just moving to New York and I loved it! My hair was super long and fraying at the ends and my stylist Yumi (I think) gave me great advice on how to make my hair look thicker while also adding some flair. Would definitely recommend this to any newbies in New York- definitely quality!! One thing to remember is if you forget your appointment and pre paid that you cannot change it.

Shampoo Avenue has been my go-to salon for years now. I finally came here after a year-long unhappy journey at other places that just could not nail my auburn color. Carlos saved me and I've been a loyal client ever since. Appointments always run smoothly - the salon sends several text/email reminders ahead of time so it never sneaks up on me. My appointments always start on time, and I feel like I have 100% of Carlos' attention while I'm there. On top of that, he is just a genuinely nice person whom I enjoy chatting with fo... read more

Love my haircut! I've had stylists in the past chop off my hair and didn't listen to what I wanted but Amelia is awesome and she's great with long hair. She listened to what I wanted and provided great advice when I asked for it. The staff is also great and friendly.

I started going to Shampoo Avenue B about one year ago, after finding out my favorite stylist had moved down there. Jen has been doing my hair for several years now and whether it's a drastic cut, reds, highlights or correcting my errors, she has always been fantastic!!! Their location is not ideal for me, but I make it work b/c I love Jen and their prices are pretty reasonable for NYC. The staff has always been super nice and they keep their appointments pretty close to on time! I would recommend Shampoo Avenue B to anyone ... read more

I won't trust my hair to anyone else in NYC! Jessica is incredible! She's been cutting my hair for a year and a half now. I originally went to Shampoo Ave B to chop all my hair off over a year ago and Jessica totally nailed it. She took my elbow length hair up to the perfect pixie cut and has been awesome ever since. Love love love it there!

I've been living in the city for a little under 2 years now and struggled to find a salon that was affordable and provided quality service to match the price. I am SO glad to have found Shampoo Avenue B and am extremely satisfied with the service here. I had long hair about midway down my back with year-old grown out highlights. My stylist, Andrea, transformed my long hair into a beautiful, chin length cut and perfectly balanced out the tones from the old highlights. She blended what I wanted with her creativity and I have r... read more
