I will only go to Shampoo Ave B for a haircut and blow dry in this city - otherwise I just wait until I'm away at Christmas! The stylists are friendly, the booking is handled professionally with plenty of reminders and flexibility. You're offered a water or beer when you come in, which is perfect for the late evening appointments I make. I've been happy with the last three haircuts I've had there, and my hair is fussy. I've been going to Shampoo Avenue B for hair it's and color for a few years now and have only had positive experiences. Each stylist is talented and the prices are more affordable than other salons I've visted. I recommend this salon.
I had an amazing experience at Shampoo Ave B. I got highlights and a trim from Andrea and am so happy with the results! The color is natural and not streaky at all (always my fear!), and the cut is just what I wanted. Highly recommended!
I have lived all over Manhattan and Brooklyn but will only go to Shampoo Avenue B for a haircut. I have been a client of Sylyse for the last four years and he is a genius. My hair is very thick and he always does a great job re layering it and taking some of the weight out so it still looks healthy and full. I always leave with an amazing, silky blow out too! All of the staff are super friendly and up-beat. They also have great products for sale and magazines to read. Excited to check out the new space!

After much searching, many so-so haircuts and a few traumatic cuts I finally found Shampoo Avenue B! A few years ago I was desperate for a change and found them on Lifebooker. Shampoo is great. Carlos is an extremely talented stylist - I absolutely love the way he cuts, colors and styles my hair (and I am super picky). Every stylist seems to be excellent though - I'd highly recommend!
Shampoo Avenue B has consistently been a great salon for my haircuts and styling needs for the last 3 years. Their welcoming environment, friendly and skilled stylists (I've always seen Jen - she is talented and lots of fun to chat with), and their prices always keep me coming back.
One of my good friends recommended this place to me after I had spent ages searching for a nearby and reliable place to get my haircut! Had an amazing haircut by Jessica, and I would definitely return to get my hair cut by her again!
