After using LifeBooker and Groupon for years and going to a new salon each time, I finally stopped after finding Shampoo Avenue B. Emily was able to fix my botched LifeBooker haircut and gave me the best cut I've had in NYC in years. She was knowledgeable and even provided great advice for how to take care of my hair in between appointments. I highly recommend Emily and Shampoo Avenue B.
Since the summer has been over,...my actual blonde hair turned dark and dingy at the roots over the past 3 months. I could not help myself but to reach for a little 'improvisation' to get that 'sunny days' look back. Enter stage right, Carlos - armed with foil and two different shades of color for high lights and low lights. The colors blended seamlessly and now I have that surfer look back. Very happy.
I just moved to New York from the west coast and one of my biggest fears was finding another place to get my hair done. I read several convincing reviews, sucked it up and booked my first appointment, and haven't looked back since. The entire group is professional, catering, well priced, and incredibly good at what they do. It's a great family to be a part of!

After 10 years of long, straight hair, I decided it was finally time for a change and a chop. I'd been going to the Aveda school for years just to get trims, but wanted a professional for a professional haircut. I've been coming to Aut at Shampoo Ave B for...almost four years now. I originally bought into the higher quality hair salon experience because I got a deal on LifeBooker, and I was a cheap recent college grad. Fortunately, I've learned a thing or two about the difference between the levels of personal care available to you in NYC. Shampoo Avenue B is the best! I used to live down the street and became hooked. I moved to Boston over a year and a half ago and I still come back to get my haircuts from Sylyse! He is fantastic and my hair looks awesome every time! The whole salon feels super welcoming and I've sent numerous friends there (who have loved their experiences as well). Definitely recommend checking it out!
I had an awesome experience at Shampoo Avenue B. I got a very dramatic haircut and was very nervous about it, but my stylist was wonderful and assuaged all my fears as well as giving me an awesome LOB! Loved it. Highly recommend.
