Shampoo Avenue B was amazing. Last week was my first haircut since I moved to NYC and Jessica did an amazing job! She talked me through everything she was going to do and once finished showed me exactly what she explained. She listened to everything I wanted and my hair looks fabulous! Will definitely be going back to Shampoo Avenue B
I love this place because--regardless of whatever drink they serve you, or however brusque they are when they wash your hair--I always leave with a great haircut. I've now had three different stylists and have liked every cut I've left with, which is seriously saying something in New York. I have been going to Jessica at Shampoo Ave B for 2 years now and I absolutely love how she styles my hair. I went to many NYC salons before I found Jessica and I am so happy that I found her. I think it is hard to get blonde highlights to be just the right shade and she gets it right everytime and makes them look very natural at the same time. I highly recommend this salon and I'm excited to check out the new location soon!
Love this place! Erik does a great job with my hair, and the prices are really reasonable for the value of the cut. Definitely would recommend this to all my friends!
I've been going to Shampoo Avenue B for years. Referred by a friend who lives in the are, I voluntarily would come here over any other Salon in my neighborhood (UES). They are very nice, timely with appointments(never waited more than 5 min), reasonably priced, and the cuts are consistent. I go for a cut/blow dry with long layers basically every time. I've been getting my hair cut by jennifer for about a year at Shampoo Avenue B. I have always been very happy with my cut because she always listens to what I want and never cuts off more than I ask. She's very friendly and I feel comfortable in her chair. The staff is also really great and always offer beer, wine, etc which I think is always a nice added bonus.
This place is great, I've had Carlos cut and color my hair for a couple years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. I went in the first time not really knowing what I wanted, and he gave me a great style and a fantastic natural looking red. Everyone is also always super friendly, I would highly recommend!
I originally found shampoo avenue B through lifebooker and have been going there for several years. I've seen a number of stylists and have only been disappointed once, but that stylist was gone soon after. Great haircuts and color in a nice atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend.
I was looking for a good hairdresser for 1 year when I first came to New York City and I am very picky when it comes to my hair going from places to places until I bought one day a Lifebooker coupon for Shampoo Avenue B and since then it is the ONLY place I would go to!
