Beware of Sears Home Warranty! We are stuck for a year of payments of $69.99 you should be able to read ALL of the fine print (which you do not get until after you purchase) before deciding to go with the warranty plan. They have more ways NOT to cover your appliances. It is a complete waste. The customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with as it is outsourced. You cannot understand them and if they cannot help you they simply hang up on you. There are some good techs but most are not able to do the job correctly was... read more

Worst customer service I have ever received. For a company that had to significantly downsize to stay alive, your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Your automated phone system confirmed a service appointment, then your “staff” in INDIA said that it was never confirmed and I have to schedule for another day. I have been waiting 2 WEEKS as it is. Believe me, I will be telling everyone to stay away.

Wish I could give them - (minus) stars! Do not use A&E service ever! My ******* refrigerator stopped working on April 25th. A&E came out to diagnose the problem since ******* required it be diagnosed by one of their authorized repair companies. A&E showed up on April 29th to diagnose the problem. In conjunction with ******* (On the phone), they decided which part needed replaced. Ordered the part, installed on May 2nd. Refrigerator was still not working. Came back on May 6th, took out the part. Left the part at our house. Ch... read more

It's unfair that you HAVE to give at least a star in order to leave a review. Sears customer service USED to be the best. Any issues I had with an appliance purchased was quickly and effectively resolved under warranty. I purchased a microwave from them little over a year ago and I've had problems with it since. Every time I attempt to schedule a repair, they contact a third party member who never shows up. In order for these repairs to happen, I have to call out of work or shift my schedule. Refrigerator stopped cooling after 3 years of use. I paid $110 to my local appliance person to tell me it was was obvious that the compressor was leaking freon and needed to be replaced. I contacted ******* for a warranty-covered replacement. ******* transfers me to Sears (case# ********) which wants me to pay their technician $120 more to come out and diagnose the issue themselves. On top of that, ******* will supply a new compressor as part of the warranty but I must cover the labor costs. The Sears technician stated that ... read more

They did a duct clean and had to set a return appointment to install UVA lights. When they returned they broke my folding door to the furnace room. I called over 15 times but no one will return my call to speak about fixing the door. Horrible customer service.

I called for a repair service on my ****** washer, they set an appointment for 6-19 between 9-1. I explained they need to send 2 men, I have a stacked washer and dryer. Explain my husband was a disabled Vet. Carrie indicate she put this request in, When Jerry showed up my himself he indicated no one told when it was stacked, he called his supervisor, he said to tell us two men will be out Friday 6-20 between 1-4. I purchased a Sears ******* refrigerator in Feb 2019, including a 3-year extended protection plan. In April I noticed an unusual sound (loud humming) coming from the area of the compressor. I called Sears Home Services on 12 April to schedule a technician. They refused, saying the noise was "normal" and gave me some things to try. Called again on 19 April with the same issue and got the same result. Finally called again on 21 June and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. No human response. HORRIBLE experience! Do not purchase anything from Sears. The salesmen are dishonest, products are low quality and warranty is not existent.
