I bought a expensive refrigerator freezer from Sears two years ago and it stopped cooling & freezing. Called Sears and a tech came out to look at it with a $99.00 diagnostic fee. He ordered parts and came back a week later. Left and said it was fixed but it was not. Cost us $400.00 for nothing. Called them to come back out and they have no available appointments for another week. The only reason I gave them a 1 is because I the rating does not allow a 0! They gave me an appointment between 8 am and 12 pm, nobody showed so I called and they told me that it had been changed to 10 am to 2 pm; guess what? Right, the tech still did not show. I called back and they said the tech had left a note in my appointment file stating his truck was not working properly; the dispatcher did not inform me of this. Sears used to be a company I could trust. No more. I ordered a refrigerator on May 7, 2019. I called four days before its scheduled arrival to see if I needed to order a separate hose for the water line. That call took over an hour of my time and I spoke to two agents - or maybe just one with a 20 minute hold in between. I was assured that I would not need another part for installation. I had Sears Home Repair Service to fix my oven in February 2019. The service itself was good and quick. I paid around $370 with a credit card right after the guy was done. The charge went through, no problem. About a month ago I received a letter from Sears demanding the payment for the above described service. I called and explained that I already paid. I went to purchase a refrigerator on Sears.com today. The site offered me free delivery on my purchase as well as $35 off my purchase. I was making the purchase online and clicked the button to "confirm" my purchase. At that point, the delivery charges were added in and my coupon removed. I got on a chat with Sears and cancelled the purchase. I assumed the system was just being clitchy so I cleared my browser and tried again. Exact same thing happened. The tire warranty is only valid if you tow your car to Sears. I was told I had to tow my car 50 miles to a Sears or my tire warranty would be void. Clearly, this expensive extra warranty is a total scam because what are the chances you will be near a Sears when you get a flat.

Sears warrant service is a joke!!!! Though I bought my washing machine elsewhere, I was misled by Sears Warranty Technician checked the machine and said that it needed a new timer, so he ordered one and it arrived late on Tuesday on May 14. 2019. NOBODY EVER SUGGESTED CALLING IN AND SAYING THAT THE PART HAD ARRIVED! I placed an order on sears.com and order 2 dresses that were on sale plus the website had a %20 off entire order. After I placed order, my delivery day was the following Tuesday. Comes Tuesday, nothing arrives so I log in to check order status and noticed that my order had been cancelled due to "BILLING VERIFICATION". First, I have never heard of such verification after so many years of ordering online. Sears sent a employee to deliver and install a gas dryer for me. Upon checking I discovered it did not work. They have put my family I’m Jeopardy by no checking the gas line. They did not make sure it was not leaking and that the dryer worked. This could have been a deadly issue.
