I would not even give one star. I have been without a refrigerator for a month even though I purchased the warranty. Sears took over a week to send a third party repair tech, who had to order a component. A week later Sears called to inform me the third party service was canceled and Sears would have to start the process over with a Sears tech which would be another week before the tech's initial service call, then it will be another week to get the same component ordered that the first repair tech ordered. Went to the Portage, MI Sears for oil change. Oil change was great but they tried to up-sell me with an air filter. I was told mine was completely filthy. I refused as that is something I can do myself at home. Stopped at an auto parts store on the way home and purchased a replacement. Got home and removed the air filter only to find that is was probably cleaner than the one I just bought. Salesman told me from the get-go that he won't sell me anything that I don't need. Sears Home Services Made an appointment for repair on home air condition in the Williamsburg,VA area, waited a week and when I missed the call from the service repair man I was not able to return call fast enough before I received a text and then a email stating my appointment was canceled, I reached the office and they put me on hold to communicate with service worker and returned to say that I am back on and to make sure I answer the call. This review is for Sears Home Services - Home Warranty. Dealing with this company has been the worst business experience I have ever had. I expected wait times for appliance repairs; however not to the extent that I have endured. My first experience was with my furnace. Shortly after the gentlemen repaired it and left, it quit working again. I submitted another claim. Later found out the gentlemen refused to come back. I have a service warranty for my washing machine or else I would be looking to dump Sears and find another company with whom I can contract for repairs. They don’t show up and then after you’ve been waiting for 4 hours and try to call the company, you cannot reach them. You cannot chat with them. There is no way to communicate with them. They send you an email saying your service has been completed when nobody has come. It is the most frustrating experience ever!

Worst experience with a service contract they failed to show up 2 of the four scheduled appointments. Calling them 6 times to make sure they were coming with a minimum of 20 minute hold times. They kept assuring that they were honoring the appointment for the 8-12 window even up to 3:00. At 4:45 he said there was not a technician available. This appointment had been scheduled for 2 weeks. They said they could not be in the area for 2 days in the afternoon. Customer service is non existent.

My first appointment was cancelled by the company and rescheduled for ten days later. After going two weeks without a refrigerator, the technician never showed up on the scheduled date. He then called and said he would come the following morning. Again, he did not show up!! I called the company and they said I need to wait two more weeks for the next appointment. Unbelievable. I have spent two days staying at home waiting and have received no help!

I have been trying to return a defective mattress that I have purchased, not what I ordered! They want to charge me for shipping and 15% stocking fee, I don’t think is fair!

Purchased a miter saw online for in-store pickup on May 27, 2019. Item was no longer available, and the order was cancelled by the store the next day. I have been trying to get my money refunded ever since. I have been promised multiple times that the money will be refunded to the card i made the purchase with, just wait 3 to 5 or 5 to 10 business days (varies each time i talk to someone). 6 weeks later and there is still no credit back to the card I made the purchase with.
