Our Kenmore Elite refrigerator (Model 795.74025.411) is an overpriced piece of junk. I had have 3 failures to date of the refrigerator/freezer to maintain proper temperature. The first 2 repair/replacement of the refrigerant filter in the "sealed" system. The current third failure, I'm waiting on service now, with the same issue of maintaining proper temperature. This company lies about their charges. Will tell you on the phone one thing only to have the technician show up and tell you another thing. They just want you to buy the long term warranty which is very high and not worth the money. They couldn't get me the part I needed and wanted me to wait over a month. When i cancelled the back-ordered part, it took over two weeks to get a refund. Bought new Kenmore refrigerator in Feb 2019 . It hasn't worked for over thirty days .took 24 days for first tech to come out. He ordered wrong part for it. Contacted Sears home services via messenger since they don't answer phone. Refrigerator almost caught on fire in the middle of the night smoking set off smoke alarm. It's 10 days later and they still haven't ordered part. My 1 and a half year old twins and 8 and 11 year old are eating out of coolers. We've spent $60 in ice and no one has contacted me. WE just bought a grill online and were then told that the item was not in stock. The website said that there were 5 of these items in stock. When I called they said it would take 3-5 days to return my money for nothing. I have never had this happen to me ever. And from reading the below reviews I can see that they do this to others as well.
I have been with out a fridge for over a month. The rest is self explanatory. From technicians calling out sick, to parts taking 30 days to come in to technicians "quitting" or getting in a "car accident" I have heard it all with this company. They contradict each other. I learned that my Sears ******* dehumidifier is dangerous. Nearly 200 units identical to my model have caught fire. Entire structures have burned down. I'm advised to pull the plug from the wall and stop using it. This is a top of the line $300 model. Sears wants me to stop using the unit and wait 4 to 6 weeks to receive a voucher good for a future purchase of $100 of Sears merchandise.
I have tried to schedule for repairs on a 2+ year old washer to dryer 3 times! Not acceptable - I have been told 3 times, all different dates - this is unacceptable! I have left a message with Corporate Executive President with no return call! I would never recommend Sears or their service department. Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer - definitely would advise to seek other company
