I purchased three parts from Sears Parts Direct. Two items were shipped and the third was back ordered, but I was invoiced for all three. On call one I asked to have the back ordered item cancelled. I was told that you could not cancel after the order was accepted. On call two I was told that the item was with their manufacturer and could not be cancelled. We currently have a service contract with sears for a craftsman tractor we lurched from sears. The tractor has transmission issues and has been repaired several times. In may,2020 we called for service and were given the date of June 30th. On t June 30th we received ed a call that the repairman was sick and we had to reschedule for July 23rd. On the 23rd we received an email saying we had to reschedule for August 27th. We made multiple call to sears regarding this issue and each time we are out on hold and nobody comes back.... read more
Zero stars if an option. Never buys from Sears and if you do make that mistake just know their extended warranties are completely useless. Our 14 month old Kenmore Elite fridge broke 3 weeks ago. We were able to get a 3rd party out about a week later who looked at it for 5 seconds and ordered a new motherboard and cooling fan. 2 days later the parts were installed and the fridge worked for approximately 36 hours before it stopped functioning again. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. It is no wonder they are going out of business. I have been trying to get a washing machine replaced or refunded that was under warranty. I just keep getting false information from customer service representatives. I have waited anywhere from 1 1/2-3hrs to get a customer service rep on the phone and even when I do they can't help me. My dryer started on fire. Called my Sears Protection Agreement. Finally after several hours waiting on the phone, they sent a service man. He informed us that they no longer make the parts. Our contract states that after 21 days of no part replacement, they will replace the dryer. At exactly 21 days I called for a replacement order and after 2 hours waiting on the phone, I received a case # that in 2 days the local Sears would receive my information to get the replacement. I am beyond upset! I have not received my refund yet for an order that was going to take MONTHS to receive. I placed the order on May 11th. I have not received a refund. After complaining by phone to the local store and the customer service staff FOUR TIMES in FOUR WEEKS about the order NOT being canceled as requested, I got a worthless foreign-accented male agent who says "they will escalate the issue". After our Kenmore refrigerator compressor went out for the second time in less than 5 yrs., Sears Repair left us without a working refrigerator or parts to repair for 25 days. Perhaps by design, they were difficult to contact about the parts status, on hold indefinitely, chat didn't work. Sears Isn't What It Used To Be. I purchased a brand new Kenmore refrigerator (manufactured by Daewoo) on 5/26/2019. It was a top french-door refrigerator and bottom drawer freezer. I was pleased to find a unit with the features I wanted, at the price that I was willing to pay.
