DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS. Their warranty protection agreement is a scam. You will not get proper service or a replacement. Instead you will spend 20 hours on the phone multiple times trying to get anyone to take responsibility for the protection agreement you've been paying for every year. If you value your sanity, time and money, purchase appliances ANYWHERE but Sears.
The compressor in my Kenmore Elite refrigerator was faulty and covered under the warranty. I have been without a working fridge for two months already with their “soonest” appointment set for November 10th. The fridge broke on August 12th. I have called them at least 3 dozen times over the past two months with no help. I even filed a BBB complaint and they still wouldn’t do anything to fix the fridge in a timely manner. 3 months without an essential household appliance is inexcusable.
I have a Master Protection Agreement with Sears with my Kenmore Water Softner. I have made 10 phone calls in an hour (rather I have been transferred also). Still unable to get my yearly inspection. When finally someone at a number I was sent to set me up an appt. that should be free. When I got the confirmation I noted there was a $90 diagnostic fee. poor service. Couldn’t deliver a product to me, now refusing to refund me my money. Have called non stop with no resolution.
The customer service sucks big time. It has degraded to the point where service is not provided in the time frame stated and takes weeks before it is resolved. Not only that, it is overpriced for the quality of service providers on their payroll. The customer service puts the onus on us to deal with setting up of service providers schedules. If there were a way to give zero stars I would. Never have I dealt with a company that treats their customer's time and money with such disrespect. Our warranty company hired A & E factory service to fix our dryer and even though they were scheduled multiple times they only managed to come to our home two out those times. Within that time frame there were multiple instances in which they were scheduled to be there and cancelled without giving us any notification. I try to buy here for online, since I could not in the sears store because an inoperative and intimidating seller. Zero respect with the client ... I stopped attending to call a tow truck. to take my car. without giving explanation. he only gave me information so that I could pick up my car. having to pay, uber and the tow truck $ 180. I feel very bad with sears I never thought they could act this bad with their clients.
This company pissed me off. My washer started leaking and wouldn’t work . I contacted my home warranty and they hired Sears to do the repair. A technician came around Sept 3. They ordered 6-7 parts for my washer and had it shipped to my house . They told me my appointment would be today Sept 28 between 9am-1pm. No one called and no one ever came . I scheduled a repair last nt. for today. The tech came & within less than 10 mins. he stated that Sears no longer makes the part for my range. This short appt. still cost me $99 + tax = $107.17. When I made the appt. I tried to ask the phone rep if they could fix my stove's problem. He told me that he doesn't get into that and I would have to wait for the tech.
