One star is too much for Santander Bank. Ive been in an ongoing fraud dispute with them (corporate) for months. Ive had to ask numerous times for them to send my bank statements for 2021; Ive yet to receive them. I cannot print them myself because the bank blocked my online banking account. Months ago, fraud was committed on my card. After being reviewed by their fraud team, the case was found in my favor. Please avoid this bank. They will hold your money for no reason for months (there will be no interest as well). Their customer service is unprofessional and unclear, sometimes they also hang up when they do not know the answer.
Have been a customer for over 35 years. Deposited a cashier's check from another bank to our Santander account. By SEC regulations, those funds should be available after 1 business day. Instead, Santander put a hold for 6 businesd days stating that the funds couldn't be verified. When they call the funding bank's home office, they have the right not to verify because of privacy laws. If Im allow, I will give No star to Santander comsumer. I have 5 years car loan with carfinco. Terrible customer and fraud alert service. My elderly mother was scammed on her credit card and Santander refused to properly investigate. The claimed the fraudulent charges were a "technical glitch." They also told her they it's not their responsibility to monitor all charges which is total BS. That is what a bank/credit card company is supposed to do! I would rate them negative 5 stars if I could. Had to file a complaint with https://www.ic3.gov/ to finally have this resolved. Worst bank in the world. I paid off my loan and now they have sent a **** for interest I paid. 2 days of being on hold for over an hour, transferred multiple time. Manager couldn't help. They never call you back. I could go on forever. They need to be reported to the ****** I am not paying the **** I dnt owe! I am frustrated beyond imagination.
This bank is run by absolute filthy scumbags. I sent a wire transfer to a vendor I have conducted business with before, and Santander took a 50 euro fee for them to conduct an, "internal review" of the transaction. What the h*** does that even mean? I called my bank multiple times to see if I could get an explanation for why Santander took this fee, and my bank didn't have an answer. Costumer servise with this bank is completely trash. They do not respect you obligation. and hold you money without asking if you need it or not. Will not recommend this to anyone.
