This bank and institution should be shut down for unethical practices. They give loans to people at extremely high interest rates and im positive auto and retailers get kick backs. Then when you pay they add on fees for no reason and say your payment was incorrect and that causes you to incur higher interest on your account. They manipulate finances and online banking ledgers to make it seem like you are late when you are current. They do this by adding the fees for no reason. Joke of a bank and i advise anyone to stay away.
The worst bank I've ever dealt with. Unprofessional, unprepared and rude. While refinancing processor went on vacation with no outgoing message and with no one Covering her files. Her Manager a ceratin Maria T. that works in Rhode Island was also rude and unprofessional. Her excuse was " I don't access to her email inbox. I can't help you"...
This is HANDS DOWN the worst bank I've EVER dealt with, which says a lot since I'm an Accountant. I opened a card for my daughter (who's special needs) and set up the alerts which Santander FAILED TO SEND EACH AND EVERY SINGLE TIME! Whether it was overdrawn, or any purchases, they will only send me a postcard, while STILL charging me $35 / day. This bank is unethical and disgraceful. They cheated my elderly mother out of her savings, and now, even though I have power of attorney for her, we can't get near the money. I have wasted so much time with visits to the bank and calling customer service. They are absolutely disgraceful nd unethical and should not be allowed to operate in this country.
I have received promo mailer from Santander and decided to give it a try. I have opened their SIMPLE CHECKING and got my direct deposit setup. When I tried to use their bill payment service first time it seemed ok, no any better or worse than any other bank. I have paid 5 of my bills and happily went about my day. Few days later I have received an email from ****** (which is apprently their bill payments service provider) about my payments being made to my payees but them not being able to get money from my account. This business is completely terrible!!! They have very poor communication with their customers. They don't understand hardships and are unwilling to work with their customers when they are going through hard times. I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone, even if it is the only bank willing to give a loan! Heed my advice and avoid this company at all costs!!!
This bank has terrible customer service and people should stay away from them. My paid off her car loan with ****** **** and she shut off the automated payment in January of 2019 after going through it with a Santander representative. No deductions were made in February or March, but then out of the blue in April of 2019 there was a pending loan payment to ******. My complaint is about misleading advertising by an agent. On January 14 2019 Margi in the Lexington Massachusetts branch misled me to believe that the bank offered an account where no checks or withdrawals would be returned as long as I was ok paying the 35$ fee. I was happy to Sign up and even mentioned to her that I would be leaving ** **** after ten years because they had returned a check because I was short a very small ammount of money. This business has lied to my wife. She needed a legal name change. Her name was changed in 2015. Each year she would go into their Milford Massachusetts location where a Gabriel P who’s their branch manager who additionally my wife saw makes fake reviews on ****, ******** etc with his wife to say that his branch is so knowledgeable is a liar.
