On August 2021 I took my car to one of the shops for a windshield replacement. I was happy that the job got done very quickly. So I went pick up the car, so I got in the car I adjust the rear view mirror and noticed it was loose but I diced to drive away thinking it just needed a s**** to be tightened and could do it when got home, once I got home I never checked it again. I had a windshield chip "repaired" by Safelite. Their ad on television shows a chip being repaired using a vacuum pump which pulls all of the air out of the chip so that a resin can be injected into the chip hiding it from all but a very discerning eye. I called 1(877) # and a woman answered. She does not listen and does not know her job. Wanted to make an appt. for crack repair. Advised the agent that I was at work and did not have policy #; if she looked up mu phone # the information will pop up. Couldn't do that needed my info first. Then proceeded to ask me if I had the policy #. Responded no so she asked me if I had the *** #. (Really). She finally looks up my phone # and says, "Oh, it's all right here!" I scheduled a tech to come out to repair our windshield but found out the techs vehicle had a flat tire and couldnt come out. I never heard from the company all day updating on the schedule and I had to missed work because of it. TERRIBLE BUSINESS TO WORK WITH. I DONT KNOW WHY THEYRE BBB ACCREDITED!!
Car broken into 9/30/2021, filed claim with insurance. Safe lite schedule an appointment to fix window 10/7/2021, but on 10/6/2021 they canceled the appointment! Reschedule it for 10/ 14/2021! Not happy at all, you want me to drive around for two weeks with a broken window! Unacceptable, so I called around 10/6/2021, to my surprise Premier Auto Glass fixed my window 10/7/2021! And if I knew this it would have been fixed last week!!
I wish I could give ZERO stars. DO NOT give this sham company your money! I spent a fortune replacing my windshield. 2 days later a crack appeared from the edge. They are saying something hit it and WILL NOT cover their so-called "lifetime guarantee." They are just like all the other evil corporations so please do not waste your hard-earned money!
I had a small 1/2" crack on my windshield. I went through my *********** policy that covers crack/chip repairs. *********** contacted Safelite directly for this repair service in ***********, **. An appointment was set up. The technician came out 09/29/21 at 9:30 a.m. It took about 10 minutes and everything looked fine. My vehicle was not driven the rest of the day as I worked from home. Scam alert! They want you to think they have a warranty, but they do not. We had a rock chip repair made only to have it spider and crack across my windshield a week later. When the technician arrived you could tell he didn't want to be there. He informed me that his boss thought he was lying about being in a motorcycle accident and have put him on the schedule for Saturdays because of it. Showed up first time without the windshield. Showed up a second time with the wrong windshield. Third appointment they cancelled the night before via text message with no explanation. Incredibly unprofessional.
