If I could give Safelite a lower score, I would. We filed a claim with them and they did not show 8 times. Every time they did not show they had a stupid excuse. The excuses ranged from the tech being sick, the tech's phone being disconnected, forgetting to order the glass, and the one used most no recorded of the claim. It took over 3 weeks to get the car's back window repaired which ruined my son's Spring Break. I do not recommend ever using Safelite.

On April 15, 2022 I dropped off my truck at the *****************. location in ********, **. to have the windshield replaced.Before arriving at Safelite I removed my dashcam which was mounted on the inside of the windshield.I let the staff a Safelite know that there were two wires hanging down near the rear view mirror about 4-5 inches. One wire was for power and was hard wired. The second connected the front camera with the rear mounted camera. One of the wires had been pulled out of the way. The other had been cut. It is now necessary for me to buy a replacement wire and pay for it to be installed.

Be aware if they break the glass it's too bad, I had a repair of a tiny chip and the tech cracked the window from top to bottom. They said they are not liable and can't do anything so now I'm stuck with a 500 dollar repair ****. Next time Ill just keep the chip, this is not the first time this has happened using safelite. Seems to me they might be in the business of changing glass after they break it.

NO STARS - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Like everyone else here, I booked an appointment for 2 weeks after my windshield cracked, and took the day off work because they said they were coming to my house for the repair after checking that was possible due to the recalibration necessary. The day prior to the appointment, I got a message that the appointment is NOT at home but at their location. I had made plans for my day to work at home. So now those were shot. I had a scheduled appointment a week in advance between 1:00-6:00. They called a day before to confirm which I did. The morning of the appointment I received an email and a text message stating me technician will be arriving that afternoon.When no one arrived and no communication on the status of the appointment, I called and of course got a recording since their business hours were 8:00-5:00. I will never use Safelite again. Had a cracked windshield, they looked at the car and said they would order the correct glass. Came out and had the wrong glass again. Came out a second time with the correct glass and installed it. Then I realized the car was leaking and they sent someone out to fix it. It did not fix it. They then sent someone out to remove and replace the windshield. They came out and could not do so because their was a chip in it. My name is *************************. I need a new windshield for my automobile, so I did a online service request to Safelite and paid in full. I was scheduled for service on April 7,2022, between 8a and ****pm. At 7 pm Wednesday I was sent a text and email saying they were rescheduling my appointment and they would do the on April 11, *****. In addition, I would have to bring the car to them. I had scheduled an appointment for them to come to me to fix my windshield. When the techs arrived late, they told me that because of "company policy" they couldn't perform the job since the hood was still a little damaged. They said it was a liability, and one good slam could crack the new windshield, which was completely false as the hood wasn't anywhere near touching the windshield, and I slammed it maybe 80 times with no further damage to anything. Horrible!! They are now here for the 4th time! 1st time they came, the windshield already had a crack. 2nd time, they came and installed new window. 3rd time, I had complained because it was leaking air and making a horrible noise while driving. The windshield wiper also made a clicking sound. 3rd guy said installed must have been new. Resealed. Told me to order cowl clips from ****** and install myself. He saw no issue with windshield wiper. 4th guy came because it still made horrible noise. Leaked air and now leaked water.... read more
