Technician at ******** shop spilled chemicals on my dash while installing windshield and did not clean up after repair. Safelite has done nothing to take care of the damage done to my dash. As such I have had to get someone and myself to take care of the damage myself. Drakie J.
I am only giving 1 star because I have to so can submit my review... My insurance sent me Safelite Glass in ****** **** to replace the windshield. The work was poor and now my new windshield leaks on drivers side. I have been trying to get it repaired for weeks. Safelite is such a disaster to deal with that it amazes me they are still in business. Their customer service is NOT helpful at all. This is a predatory company that has relationships with insurance companies to pressure car owners to use their services, then they install wildly subpar glass into your car causing more and more frequent breaks and they offer no coverage of damage or messed installation, despite what their website says. They have excuses for what went wrong installation to avoid responsibility and install trash glass to lead to more breakage while not covering any damage repairs to their glass even immediately after install. I had booked and paid an extra fee to have a technician come to my place on a Saturday to replace my windshield. The technician calls me at 8:00 am sharp to ask me if I have a garage, because it might be raining, and he can't work outside. I explained to him that no one told me that I needed a garage, and asked me if there was another solution or if we could drive to a place where there is cover? He replies that I have to reschedule. This is horrible. Had an appointment scheduled. They never called, then the lady tells me they wouldnt do the work they were recommended for. Dont even try these people.
My current insurance company which is Connect thru ****** automatically forwards all glass claims to safelite auto glass but if you dont want to use them they are still the ones handling your claim. Because I chose to use the glass company thay I love, they put me thru hell! This review box isn't big enough for all the things I have to say. I'll be brief:1. "Local" phone numbers get rerouted to out-of-state call centers 2. I've corrected my phone number with their CSRs a handful of times yet they still keep the wrong phone numbers 3. They cancel in-home appointments scheduled 10 days in advance DURING the service window! And they don't even bother to call (maybe due to wrong phone number?!)4. They don't show up to appointments. They let you schedule to come in and and they don't have the glass when you get there. The managers act so concerned to get you off the phone then they don't call back.
Don't take your car there. The shop have stolen my *** parts and replace them with cheap generics. They had the guts to charge me for the *************. If you have a car that you care about, do not take it there. You may be missing some expensive original parts when you leave that place.After I confronted them about my missing parts, they offered to refund me for the cheap ************* cost. I want the original part that costs 5x more back. Thieves!
