The idea for Ruby’s Diner was born in 1980 after a run on the beach. Doug Cavanaugh had just returned to his native Southern California after successfully restoring and running a restaurant on Nantucket Island off Cape Cod. Great place! Great view! My wife's first time, and she loved it.
Loved the Diner! Our wait early afternoon wasn't bad. The food was good and it was all around a good place to have lunch.
The best Turtle sundae and Hickory bacon cheeseburger I've ever had. Loved the ocean view. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu next time.
Ruby's is a must visit when we come to LA. Chocolate Banana Milkshakes all the way!

I've been to Huntington beach for 40 years and never tried ruby's but yesterday we did. I was truly shocked on how wonderful the good looked and tasted. Can't wait to go back
