The idea for Ruby’s Diner was born in 1980 after a run on the beach. Doug Cavanaugh had just returned to his native Southern California after successfully restoring and running a restaurant on Nantucket Island off Cape Cod. Great service, good food, super malts. The view is amazing on the second floor by the window.
We love the shakes .... my son states they are the best he has ever had Burgers are great also ..... I recommend the Cobb burger

Food was good and waiting staff very friendly and polite, would think it gets very busy at peak times, great views from the top floor
Was such a surprise, we were not expecting something so authentic. Meal portions were very big.
We ate here yesterday with our grandson. Great ambiance and our waitress was really good. All of our food had great flavor and our grandson enjoyed his paper car. The only thing I would like to change is that my salad had some brown on the lettuce.
We typically really enjoy Ruby's but this time our server was rushing to get everyone out. They ran out of 2 ice cream flavors and took the liberty of picking 2 other flavors for us. They ran out of waffle cones and so they also decided to bring us regular cones and said they put an extra scoop to make up the cost difference. It worked out ok but I'm not a fan of that type of service.
I like the food but felt I was rushed on getting out of there .. my waitress was always in a rush to drop the food off n even give me a chance of asking for what I needed she was always asking how food was as soon as I said good she turned around living the table without giving me time to ask for anything else. Waited to be sitted for 45 minutes n took us 35 minutes to get food and lunch eat . first time there n not worth second time because of the service food it's good but service it's bad.( there's no customer service)
Great atmosphere for children and super good food!!
