The idea for Ruby’s Diner was born in 1980 after a run on the beach. Doug Cavanaugh had just returned to his native Southern California after successfully restoring and running a restaurant on Nantucket Island off Cape Cod. We had lunch there on Tuesday. The food was very good and our waitress and the staff were very courteous and attentive.
First time at Ruby's and the service was great and the food and shakes were excellent!!
Had the apple pie ala mode and was delicious!! I have had the food here too and it's just as good!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Fast service, excellent strawberry shakes and cute decor. Beautiful view of the ocean while you eat. I would recommend it anyone.

The food is good and fits the atmosphere. The Shakes are legendary. You will always be glad you chose to eat at Ruby's diner! Took my son for his first Strawberry/ Banana shake.
