Awesome – Well here we go again, another great visit. I called 4 hours ahead of my trip to Precision, and talked to Ian. I wanted to see if the had a Tamron 70-200 lens for my Pentax. They one left, and they offered to put my name on it, until I got there. I showed up at 5:30 PM, and was greeted by Mark, with a smile and a handshake. Mark went and got the lens, and allowed me to test it out and just play with it for about 20 minutes. Experts – Precision camera is the best. They know all aspects of photography at the professional level. If you need expert advice or gear this is the only place to go. You won't really save by going the mail order route, it took me years and several bad experiences with the New York businesses to find out.

Extremely Honest – Precision is a true local business. The owner started off repairing cameras and the store grew from there. The lab does, I believe, all it's work in-house so the turn over is fast and the quality is high. The rental/repair section keeps the rental equipment in good working order because they check it both before it goes out and when it comes back in. That department is also, thanks in part to it's manager Noel, extremely honest, knowledgeable and helpful. They've replaced more then one missing screw for me... read more

Great Camera Place – Holy hell, what a camera store! They have an incredible selection of DSLRs and you can actually try them out, which is way better than any big box store can say. The customer service here seemed pretty good, and the guys working the counter were very knowledgeable. I wish we had more good camera stores like this in Chicago!

Always comes through – Skilled. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Helpful. Precision always comes through for me when I am in need. From sales to repair to those "hey, do y'all....?" kinds of needs, they are always there for me 100%. Plus, it's locally-owned, so I feel good about supporting a local business and their local staff with my local tax dollars! :)

Real & Consistent Expertise – My experience recently was only on the web site. I was price shopping for a nikon or canon d slr, but decided when it's time to buy, to buy at Precision b/c it's local and you folks are SO knowledgeable. I'd just as soon spend my money where the real and consistent expertise is. See ya soon.

Super Helpful – I have always had a great experience with Precision. The staff are super helpful with any questions I've had and very down to earth and friendly. The times I have rented lenses and equipment it has been smooth and painless--in fact I have really enjoyed the opportunity to utilize the services- from printing to renting.
