This small, somewhat eccentric café is a local favorite. The décor is certainly part of the café's charm- bright primary colors abound, the thrift store furniture is mismatched; mannequins, dolls and other toys decorate the window sills, walls and even the ceiling. But it's the food that keeps the locals coming back. It's a terrific blend of traditional home cooking and lighter vegetarian fare. The French toast (served all day) is one of the city's treasures.

Waited over 30 minutes for my breakfast. Tables that were sat after my husband and I got their food before us when we were sat before them. Service was horrible, I truly believe that the server forgot to put in our order.
Poor service and wait was over 35 minutes when we left. Used to be a great spot, wouldn't reccomend to anyone now.
AMAZING!!!! A must try for sure!
Food was great, service great. The toys and art were bit unusual but we enjoyed it
Delicious food, served very fast!
Was looking for something different, fun, and enjoyable. I found that and more here. We will be back to enjoy more of their food!
I loved the PaperMoon Diner when I was a college student in the city and continued to visit the restaurant throughout my 20s. I now have a 6 year old and took her for hot chocolate and a dessert after Zoo Boo in October. She loved the restaurant as well and was excited to go with a friend today for more hot chocolates and desserts after another chilly visit to the zoo. When the hostess was getting the menus, I mentioned that we would just be grabbing some hot chocolates and desserts and had the girls look at the dessert case... read more
Awesome experience with the host, I don’t know if the waiter was trying to leave or just was that busy. However other than that the food was very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
the only reason I do not recommend this place is the prices. We were two adults and three children. Orange juice was $3.50, a three stack of pancakes was $11.50, and a side of bacon was another $5 or something like that. so my children's meals cost more than my corned beef hash and eggs. which was delicious by the way. very cool looking place, the staff was good, the food was good, the prices were just too high. over $107 for us today and we didn't order much.
