This small, somewhat eccentric café is a local favorite. The décor is certainly part of the café's charm- bright primary colors abound, the thrift store furniture is mismatched; mannequins, dolls and other toys decorate the window sills, walls and even the ceiling. But it's the food that keeps the locals coming back. It's a terrific blend of traditional home cooking and lighter vegetarian fare. The French toast (served all day) is one of the city's treasures.

I love taking people, either new to Baltimore or just never heard of it, to this joint. They have a huge, profoundly tasty menu - I HAVE LOVED EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER EATEN HERE! It's a B'more intitution.
Service was terrible, food was bland, and the prices were high. They forgot two of our side dishes and it took about 10 minutes to flag down a server to ask again for the rest of our meal(we originally pointed this out when they brought our food). By that time the table was done eating and the only response from the waitress was to ask if we still wanted the food we ordered. Not an apology or anything. Shrimp omelette was fantastic! Atmosphere was a walk down memory lane ‘The Jetson’s Lunch boxes’ or ‘Building Blocks’, staff was great!
