I bought an office chair from Office Depot for $350.00. When I got home from work the box was sitting in front of my garage and it was completely opened and it looked like someone had gone through it. Parts were exposed and when I tried to move the box parts started falling out of the bottom. I called customer service and waited on hold for 1 hour and 16 minuets before I finally hung up. On 4/11/2021 I purchased a H&R Block Deluxe Tax Program from the Office Max Store (#*****) in Rockford Illinois. Upon arriving home, I then discovered that the program was a non-disc type but a downloadable type (the package was never opened during this discovery). Office Depot/Max has probably the worst online experience I've ever seen from a large, well-known company. The web-design is outdated, laggy, and confusing. Tracking your order is vague, and I've had issues where I purchased an item they never had in stock. That's as far as I'll go into that situation because I was compensated with a gift card, but trust me; the only reason they cared about my lousy experience with their company was because I posted a negative BBB review. Had a graphics card that was placed on back order that they cancelled stating " We are unable to fulfill your pending order and it has been cancelled. You will not be charged for this order. cancelled an order within one minute of placing it. received email that I would not be charged. HA! office depot has placed a hold on my funds, and will not release it. customer service is in India, and continue to tell me it's my bank holding the funds. this "hold" should have been immediately released, not held for 48-72 hours. thieves.

I placed an order for an online sale for a foam print of 16*20 and was told as I placed the order on 05/03/2021 that my order would be placed same day. As the days went on I called customer service for an update and tracking number which was not provided and worst part 05/07/2021 upon discovering my order wasn't placed at all I give this business a negative review for lack of communication and not updating their website ... I want full compensation for delays an agent dropping the ball !!!!!

Purchased what I consider to be a high end Quantum 9000 office chair. The purchase was based on the recommendation, and PROMISE, from the store manager to take care of any necessary warranty repairs. The back of the chair broke and almost threw me in the floor. Took the chair back to Office Depot and was told "Oh, we don't warranty the chairs, they have to be sent back to the company." This chair is made in China! Yeah, right, thanks!

I went to two Office Depots, and both tried to charge sales tax on gift cards, which is I believe is *******. Staples did NOT charge sales tax on gift cards, so all my purchases will be at Staples.
Bought a $300 dollar desk when it got to us they had sent us 2 of one piece so we were unable to put it together we called there parts number who gave us the run around for 2 plus weeks about sending the part to us...i tried contacting the location we got the desk who also wasn't much help they refused to help find a solution and only offered us a number for corporate who when i called just transferred me to the same place were having an issue with getting the part from as it is.
