On Friday I tried to order an office chair for my home office and the online ordering system had no place to enter my American Legion purchasing card number. I called customer service and was told that had to be presented in the store. I was flabbergasted that that the customer service rep would even suggest that knowing that it is impossible to present anything in the store. We must purchase online and pick up at the store. I ordered an hp laptop online for store pick up, the website stated that there were 5 in the store location I chose. I placed my order, an hour later I got an email saying my items were ready for pick up, as Im leaving my house, the manager ***** calls me and states that the item I ordered is not in store..... Back on March 17th, I placed two separate orders for "Betco Glybet III Disinfectant, 15.5 Oz, Citrus Scent, Case Of 12 Cans" for $49.35 each order that was set to be delivered on March 23rd. I was given a confirmation email that stated when the order ships, I will be emailed with the shipping information. Nothing was delivered on March 23rd nor was any shipping email sent out. The demand for cleaning and personal care products is unprecedented and we were not able to fulfill the customer's order and the order was deleted. I informed and apologized to the customer but have not received a response at this time. As a gesture of goodwill and customer satisfaction, we sent the customer a gift card. We hope the customer will be satisfied with the resolution and hope the customer will continue to do business with Office Depot.

I placed an order on 04/07 that was estimated to arrive on 04/10 via customer paid shipping method. After placing the order for said item, when I saw this safety item in store I opted not to buy it as I had an alleged order incoming from Office Depot. Then, on 04/09 I received an email stating that the item is backordered, despite it being in stock when I placed the order, and there is no estimated delivery date as they await the item to come in stock.

I am a bookkeeper and Office Depot is close to where I work from home. However, the convenience no longer outweighs my bad experiences. At least three times, my business has been enrolled in ink subscriptions that we did not knowingly enroll in. We refuse the ink, but the charges were taken from our bank account before the ink even arrived. (These ink subscriptions start after placing online orders, so they have our cc info) It takes a minimum of 2-3 phone calls to get the subscriptions stopped and the charges refunded. An unauthorized transaction was processed for $140 on my credit card. After speaking with customer service to fix this my card was still charged and a business account was set up with a monthly subscription that was not requested. Was told that I will have to wait now till all items are received (that I didn't order) and have to call back to have a refund issued or go the local store. I ordered a case of toilet paper from their website (desperate times and all that). While I was at work I got a notification saying it was delivered. I called my wife and told her to go outside to get it but it was no where to be found. I checked the order status online and it said delivered but then at the bottom of the screen there was a notation that said "no one at location". I ordered a webcam and got confirmation that it was delivered one day before the actual day. On the day the system said it was ordered it did not arrive. Contacted their 1-800 number and was told that it was on back order! I asked why did the system show that it was delivered to my address. No response. Now 3 -5 weeks for this item that is on back order. At the time of order it showed in stock and out to me in 3 days. They told me an item I needed was in stock and would be delivered by the upcoming Thursday. It never arrived. I called and was told it was waiting for fed ex to pick up so not even shipped yet. Fed ex rep said nothing pending on their end. I told them to refund me but they said they could not because already shipped?! No it has not! You just told me no idea when fed ex will pick up so cancel on your end. Do not use this company.
