Good place but according to these reviews, definetly much overrated – I was reading the reviews, and since the Nakama email with $10 offer for a good review was passed out, there were additional 5 reviews in 10min timeline talking about how great Nakama is. Great croud, great bar & bar tenders, great place to eat. – Had dinner there for a group of 8 about a month ago; what a great experience from the servie to the food choices and quality. Will be back many times.
Best service ever!!! – We had never been to Nakama and I made reservations online for my husbands birthday. We arrived 45 minutes early and were seated right away. After our salad, the chef came over to cook and the grill was not ready to cook our table's order. The waiter took it upon himself to talk to the manager and we were given a discount on our bill for only waiting an extra 10 minutes. Something to see – As a Parent of three young children me and my husband find it hard to find a restaurant where we can enjoy our meal as well as our children. We prefer our kids eat healthy and not the typical hot dog, chicken fingers, grilled cheese everyone else offers for kids meals. They also stay very entertained thru Dinner and it allows me and my husband to enjoy ours. My kids love Nakama and it is their top pick.
great entertainment along with great food, very tasteful setting – whenever i go to nakama, i have a wonderful experience. the chefs are entertaining, you get a variety of items along with the meal, and the overall setting is perfect for a celebration or jsut a nice, casual dinner.
Social Scene – Nakama is not only a place for great food, but a great place to get drinks with friends or co-workers. The bar drinks are among the best and fanciest in the Southside. I would definitely recommend it as a trendy place to meet for drinks and dinner.
Great Sushi – I've eaten at Nakama numerous times and just love the sushi. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the hibachi. Overall, Nakama is a great dining experience and I recommend it to anyone looking for great sushi! The ginger dressing is great too!
Testimonial – My family and I love Japanese Restaurants! When we heard Nakama was coming to South Side we were so excited. As soon as it opened we made reservations to go and, I must say, Nakama exceeded our expectations by far. The food is execellent and the service was wonderful! NAKAMA is Worth the price, the wait, everything!! – Simply Stated : Surprisingly Delicious ! Worth the price! The atmosphere is busy and fun..definitely have to make reservations -even on a Monday!!
