THE BEST IN THE CITY BY FAR – I really do not even know where to begin - I guess in the order that it always happens. The hostess is always very nice, even though you might have to wait for your table sometimes (the time they tell you always is more then the time we actually wait which is always good), it is WELL worth it. Best Japanese steakhouse in Pittsburgh – Great hibachi and sushi, excellent quality and quantity for the price. Can get very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings but well worth the wait.
Hands-Down Favorite Restaurant in the Burg! – I have become a devotee of Nakama and make it a point to eat there a few times a month. The sushi is the best I've eaten ANYWHERE! Classy and delicious – Nakama has a very classy atmosphere with excellent Japanese cuisine. Watching the cooks perform tricks as well as cook is also an extra perk. Service is also great. Nakama is a great place to eat whether you're on a date, or with a group.
Best Sushi and fun atmosphere!! – I have always had a great experience at Nakama...my friends and I usually eat at the bar or sushi bar, buy a bottle of wine and enjoy the food. The prices are reasonable and the bartenders know us on a first name basis....a definite good time!!! We love the shrimp tempura and the dipping sauce....
Best place to eat in Pittsburgh... Period – Everyone I have ever taken there loves it. I recently tried Yokusa at the waterfront. The place was empty and they told us a 45 minute wait. After we tried to leave they sat us at the sushi bar. We sat there for over 20 minutes without a menu or drink, and we finally left. We are sticking to Nakama from now on!
Best Japanese Steak house in Pittsburgh – I am a big fan of Japanese Restaurants and I have been to everyone in Pittsburgh. Nakama is by far the best. The service is excellent, the cooks put on an incredible show, the portions are huge and the atmosphere is amazing. I try to make it to Nakama at least twice a month, if not more. You will not be disappointed. Everything about Nakama is Wonderful!
Trendiest Spot in Pittsburgh – Nakama has the best social scene in the 'Burgh as evidenced by the long line of people waiting to be seated not only during the weekend but the weekdays as well.
