A robber is a person who takes valuables by force or intimidation. To attempt to take a womans money because she needs a transplant is disgusting. This organization is, by definition, a robber.

As a kidney patient I love my dr's in the transplant program. Dr Whiting and Dr Palma are awesome!
Thanks to Maine Med's smoke-free campus, my street, stoop, and driveway are littered with cigarette butts. The worst offenders are hospital employees themselves. Maine Med has pushed all the secondhand smoke into my neighborhood, right into my windows. What about the health of your community, Maine Medical Center?
By far the absolute best care I've ever received. From the check in desk, to the trioge nurse, to the doctor, and even the volunteer that sat and joked with me and made the pain a little less... painful. I was in for a simple procedure nothing big. To you guys just routine, but to me, on that day, you guys were super heroes. I can't say thank you enough.
your hopital i thought was awesome but this article i read is really dissapointing and breaks my heart.. This is what i just read on WGME and it upsets me that they see it as selling an organ and not as the fundraising paying for surgery and other bills that will need to be paid for missing work etc.. people try to do good and now this poor woman might go without. Shame on Maine Medical Center.. :
To tell a kidney donor that they have to cancel saving someones life or give the money raised to help support him while out of work to you guys....i always thought highly until now... Greedy money hungry demons
