Waited 4 hours to b seen when I got here at 530 a.m still waiting an it's 730 def not impressed at all especially when there's a man across the waiting room about 80 years old he was literally crying in pain holding his stomach he sat in waiting room for almost an hour as no one did anything for him wow so not impressed with this place at all gotta get ur shit together Maine medical center
Maine Medical Center ER - the place to go if you want NO service, rude RN's, and being bullied to sign a Against Medical Advice sheet. Can someone please explain to me how I was leaving AMA considering in 4 hours NO DOCTOR EVER SAW ME. One nurse spoke to me for 3 minutes and never saw him again, the witch nurse NEVER SAW ME until I was so fed up I left.Her words to me " if you die don't blame us"
I used to trust you. Till you attempted to give me a medication I have a KNOWN allergy to. That's right. It's a listed allergy you tried to tell me I had to take it. You withheld my seizure medication, despite the long history of seizure history. Disgusted. Done. Reported. I had grown to trust and like you, and it took one experience.
CMS gives MMC a 2 star rating. Only 2.5% of all the hospitals that were rated fell below this level rating. My letter to the editor in the Portland Press Herald today gives more details about this.

Very difficult to get through the gatekeeper system to actually get care. I was in pain for many years and was repeatedly told I wasn't a surgical candidate. Finally I got a second opinion and was absolutely a surgical candidate. I had the surgery, am pain free now, but didn't get that help from this practice.
