Well I am just starting this program this coming Wednesday, July 6, 2016. The Intake was thorough and I expect good results. I had a stent placed after a 99 % block was discovered and I feel lucky to be alive and have this opportunity to participate in this rehab as a chance to upgrade my couch potato status and regain some much needed fitness. Exercise is my prescription recommended by MMC and my cardiologist. A big thank you to Scarborough Rescue as well.
I had a minor back surgery there yesterday that was done by Dr. Conrad Barth from Southern Maine Neurology and Spine. He is by far the nicest surgeon I have ever met. First day after my surgery and I feel instant relief from my sciatic nerve. All of the nurses and anesthesiologist were wonderful! Highly recommend him and Maine Med.
Dr. DeStatsio always worked in a professional manner and took care of my families health for over 20 years. This is a terrible situation for all. I pray that he and his family can heal from all of this devistation.
My friend and I were there for about 7 hours yesterday when we could have been there for about 4, but the staff seemed to forget about us. There was a handful of really nice workers, but most of the staff was disrespectful, rude and unhelpful so much that I ended up going home in tears. Where is my family doctor for the past ten years?... I love Dr. DiStasio , but the office needs to open up so people can get their medical records. Either that or post a way to get them. I personally have several medical issues that I used to talk to the doctor about. I also have multiple prescriptions to fill. This is one big mess. Anybody know who to talk to get our medical records? geez
I am devastate and heart broken to hear that Dr Destasio's office is closed. Dr D has been my physician for over 20 years! I have full confidence in him! He has NEVER referred me to a lab or testing that was outside of my medical coverage. I am hoping the closing of his office is temporary, and that he will be able to return to practice soon! We will be filing a lawsuit for patient abandonment.
Feel very bad about dr destasio. What is a patient to do in the mean time? And what about my records. Very concerned.
