#1 PLACE TO BE... I work in the OR and I like to make the KIDS HAPPY I make them up OR BEARS as there SURGEONS!!!! They ALL love it :)
Should never have to wait over four hours in the emergency room.... And have people who came in after you taken before you. SMDH.
I felt safer simply knowing I was a transferred to me med.
They have no human who can read an X-ray on weekends so the shots were emailed to Manhattan where they understandably sat in line for many hours waiting to be read. Critical accidents and other things in NYC, were triaged ahead of me which I understand. Not having any professional person in the entire State, not even in New England just blows my mind. Surely in emergencies a good hospital could email them to a local Dr. Nothing given for pain in case I was going in to surgery. Ditto no food or water. It was a very long wait.
In just a few words, this place is a shit show. Be prepared to bleed out on the floor before you actually get a chance to see a doctor.
I am visiting from long island,NY (staying at point sebago) and was involved in a boating accident. I was taken to maine medical center and was operated on, not once, but twice in 2 days. Everyone i encountered here were very nice and helpful. My dr. was first rate and my care was exceptional. Even the food here was fantastic...this hospital blew away my local hospital back home in every area...i wish to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the staff here who took great care of me. My daughter is screaming in pain and no one is doing anything!
Give Christine that life-saving kidney! I am on that damned list and I know what it is like to have your life put on hold by this terrible disease. You decision to not go ahead with this transplant is sickening.
