They’re all about money and refused us because they wanted an approval of payment letter from Hines VA after business hours. Hines was full and Loyola released my dad 3/20. Loyola should have accepted my dad back four days after his release but no all about the money!!!! now attempting to transfer again to Loyola and again all about the approval of payment letter. Forget HEPA laws right?! Not to mention my dad is 100% service connected and they’d get paid!! You should’ve never released him and now he’s the sickest he’s ever ... read more

My experience at Loyola Medical Center has always been good in the past. That changed this afternoon when I revived a bill for blood work and urinalysis. $1719.49 is my part??? I would complain about the Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance (which is robbing me, too,) but they picked up the other $2783.51 of the bill! How can anyone justify $4503 for these services?? I thought people who sued doctors and hospitals for malpractice and other ridiculous reasons were the problem, but apparently this institution is the criminal in th... read more

A HUGE thank you to the EMT’s, Doctors, and Nurses at Loyola Medicine for their hard and quick work that saved my 12 year old sisters life. She was misdiagnosed with the Flu & it turned out to be a brain infection. Rushed her into emergency brain surgery. Long road ahead with therapy but her prognosis is 100% recovery. Our Christmas Miracle & Loyola’s! The Neurology team, PICU & all other staff are amazing and passionate at their job. Words can’t express how truly thankful my family is! Thank you

Waited SIX HOURS in the ER, SUFFERING From back, neck, and shoulder injuries after being hit by a car across from this place!!! I was never considered as a priority!! I'm a Swedish Covenant Hospital- NOW THIS PLACE IS one of the best in the city and took me in right away! If I could give Loyola university medical center negative stars I would! All that time waiting my pain got worse and worse, all they kept telling me was they're trying to get to everyone as quickly as possible... but someone who was in a car accident with b... read more

I've been an inpatient for a little over 2 weeks so I haven't been paying attention to the weather. But I knew it was getting cold out. Apparently, Loyola pays even less attention as they haven't turned the heat on yet. "Loyola: We Freeze The Human Spirit!"

In a prominent hospital that touts "Body + Soul" as its slogan, one might expect private hospital rooms with nice amenities - NOT SO. For three weeks my mom was one of two patients crammed in a too-small room with little natural light and no place for visitors or the constant parade of medical students, not to mention staff and medical equipment. It's not at all conducive to relaxing and focusing on getting well!

My experience at the urgent care in Homer Glen was good last night but my experience this morning after calling because the cough medicine that I was given did not help me AT ALL. How am I supposed to get better if I can’t sleep due to coughing uncontrollably when I’m supposed to be sleeping?? I called this morning to speak to someone about getting another prescription called in to Walgreens for cough medicine that actually works and I was told someone would call me back. I’m still waiting for that phone call. I am really di... read more
