My dad was airlifted to Loyola Neuro ICU May 6th after having a stroke. All except one nurse that he encountered in ICU was fantastic, very caring. Harold on the other hand was very rude!!! When my dad didn't respond to him during one of his hourly checks, he actually pinched his arm, leaving a very dark purple bruise, and said "I know you can hear me." Loyola Emergency room was the worst experience of my life. They kept my daughter and I for 13 and 1/2 hours yesterday, yes they did help my daughter with her suffering and also they ran test but the fact remain it doesn't take 13 hours to run test, X-ray or blood work. Then if you leave out to go to your car for any things security at Loyola hospital treat you like you a prisoner. I hope and pray I never have to visiting Loyola emergency facility ever again .

Apparently this hospital is understaffed to the max. Motto of "we also treat the human spirit" is a JOKE! My family member that is currently in this hospital is NOT getting the proper care they need as it is HOURS between when they need to get up into a chair and when the staff actually makes it into the room to make that happen AND an alarm can go off for many minutes before anyone goes to the room to see what is happening. They also do not coach folks to push for "just one more step" when trying to walk, instead letting th... read more
