The Shores, Daytona Beach Florida (4 Diamond rated) I have stayed here many times before. The General staff was great. The Management staff was uncaring. There was roof construction that started at 8:30 a.m. and ran to 7:30 p.m. We were 2 floors down and it was still very loud. I understood the need for these repairs and I let it slide through Friday. I'm a member of Embarc Resorts of which DRI is the Manager/Declarant/Monarchy. Their business practices of selling "points" unscrupulously during member "updates" is legendary. The website for booking is chronically down, and calls into the Helpdesk are beyond frustrating as they bumble around seemingly without training. Not a business you want to touch. How much did they pay to get an A- rating???

We went to a presentation on 10/09/2017 at Las Vegas Diamond Resort (Can Cun Resort) at the beginning I told the representative that we were just her for the up dates, he said fine. he (Scott Pritchard ) not to sure about the last name just know that it started with a P. This is a fast talking company that will say anything to make a sale and NOT be upfront on what you're purchasing. They will also offer you a gift that is NOT truly a gift since you have to pay for it if the sale does NOT go thru. NEVER EVER EVER listen to a Diamond Resorts employee cause all they do is fast talk and lie and if you do, please read the fine print as soon as you can cause they talk fast and have you initial everything not giving you ample time to read the paperwork but at least you will have time to cancel the... read more

High pressure sale tacticswife tried to op out of there "presentation" due to the fact that she was still sick from her radiation treatments for Breast Cancer. The people at Ormond Beach timeshares said we would have to pay the full rental on our Sampler unit if both of us didn't listen to the sales pitchafter an hour, my wife wanted to leave and again she was told she needed to stay another hour or she would have to pay! Re 11/18/2016 contact fraud I wanted to get out of my diamond timeshare, which of course is worth nothing, and will cost me to legally dispose of it. However when invited to attend one of their presentations I went solely to get the free gift promised. I told the salesman up front I had no interest in buying more points because I was planning to get out. We checked into our hotel on August 4 2017 (Grand Beach Resort) around 4:00pm we where told that we where given a three bedroom suite instead of the one bedroom we originally reserved after settling into our room around 12:00pm we receive a knock on our door advising us to come to the lobby after standing in the lobby for an hour i was told we where at the wrong hotel and we needed to leave to the correct hotel how can this happen i told the front desk this is nuts they made us leave the premises at almost 1:00am with 4 chil... read more

Just got off the phone with Diamond Resorts who manage our Virginia Beach Boardwalk Property. The person said that 80% of the owners have bought into the Diamond Properties and relinquished their deed for them to manage vacations. This sounds like "hogwash"! We were told that to become a member we would have to pay $8000+ upfront and $635mo for 10 years. My wife and I attended a presentation by this company while in Branson mo this past week. I have been through high pressure presentations before such as buying cars and such but this takes the cake. They were all nice to us from the beginning until we said we wanted to think about the offer, then it was this is the deal take it now or the price is double. They also give you figures about how with meals and entertainment that your trip would cost you certain amout but their trips don't include meals and entertainment. Scared ... read more
