At the Arizona State Fair a couple of years ago, we signed up to attend a session regarding their resort service. We ended up not going and forfeited the $35 fee. We also did not take advantage of the "free trip." From that point on, I have been getting several phone calls a week from various numbers so blocking them is not an option. In November 2015, in Branson MO we made the BIGGEST MISTAKE to buy a timeshare. Our concern was that we own a small business and can only travel on weekends. This was expressed to Brian A******** who quickly told us we didn't have to take week long vacations and that we could use points for multiple weekend trips. We returned in February 2016 to be trained how to use their website. We were advised the pkg we bought was too small, and we would use almost all of our points for only 1 weekend trip. We were given discounts on the condition to attend their timeshare presentation. I have never attended such a thing and was really curious what timeshare is all about. We had booked a stay for our Anniversary at the ******* ***** ******* for May 27th - 29th 2017. Our room was filthy as there were wads of gum attached to the end table, dirty lamp with no light bulb, fridge was dirty, stove, tv, remotes, carpet was not vacuumed everywhere, etc. Counter had a fingernail and crumbs on it!!! This complaint is against Diamond Resort. I owned a Timeshare that was paid in full. The company I owned with sold me another one and assured me that I would get 10 years of bonus weeks and the use of my week in VA Beach. So the salesman said rent your in VA Beach and use your bonus week to vacation. He assured us that doing this would get us a nice commission check that would cover maintenance fees and money left over to put toward the principle so we could get this one paid in full faster. We purchased our first time share while we lived in Canada in 2004. All was great until diamond resorts bought out ****** ***** golf and country club. That year they had a meeting with us and told us that if we wanted to travel outside that property or on a different date then we owned we would have to buy into there points program. I purchased a package back in February while on vacation with my two kids in Orlando. The reason I purchased it is because they guy selling it told me they plenty of resorts and availability in Gatlinburg, TN and I knew I would be traveling there this year.
