This company is a giant scam. Sales people are completely unethical. They took advantage of my mom only three months after my father's death and tricked her into trading a deeded timeshare with value for worthless "points" for which she pays a fortune. They've lied directly to me on multiple occasions and been insulting and abusive when challenged on their lies. Their booking system is convoluted and rooms at their resorts are usually available for better prices on the Web. Stay away!
I was talked into a "free vacation" package in return I was to attend a presentation on Diamond Resorts condos. I was to receive my money back once I attended such presentation. I had intended on returning back to Las Vegas within the next few months and so I thought why not. So they promptly charged my CC and told me to call for my reservation which as long as I called within 2 weeks I was told would be no problem. Our sales agent for Diamonds Resorts said that we can book two months out. When we went to book we could not get anything in the state of Washington nor in Alabama. Both states where our boys live. Diamond refused to give us our money back because we signed a contract. Beware as Diamond is very misleading!!!! Had a good experience with the company to the point that i was wanting to buy into ownership. That was up until we tried to extend the use of our points that we had already paid for with the sampler packet. We were told wrong information and when we called to use our points were told they were expired and there was nothing we could do. Talked to Mike R**** a manager who promised A-Z and was never called back. I called 4 different times and everyone gave me the run around. I have been a Diamond Resorts timeshare owner for 12 years. I am now older and unable to use my points, which have been expiring each year. I received a phone call from DR inviting me to attend a Nov 11 luncheon at the Sarasota Hyatt Hotel to hear about "exciting new ways to use my points." I bit and over a two hour period was told by a Lisa P***** that, if I upgraded for $14,550, I would be "qualified to use my points without cash" to buy air fares, hotel rooms, merchandise and could even use points for DR annual fees. This despicable company is a joke from start to finish and everything they tell you is a lie simply to get you to sign the papers and throw away your hard earned money. Yesterday I booked a unit through Diamond Resorts, using my owner points, at Coconut Mallory Resort in Key West Florida. The reservation was confirmed, and I sought additional information about this property since the two of us have limited mobility issues. I was alarmed to see some evidence that the facility may not be opened because of hurricane damage. Scam! No other way to describe it. I'm very disappointed. Do not fall for the beautiful presentation. It's all a scam. They promise you all these wonderful things but can only do so little. Customer Service department is even worse. I hope my review saves at least a few people from signing up and wasting their money.
Worst company to buy into. There is no resale value.
